I came across this article in the Gazette from 50 years ago today. I think the only thing that's changed in the past 50 years are the names and faces.

WOW....was looking at the ads......check out the price of furnaces from sears??? And student loans from Schenectady savings bank??? Times have certainly changed 'economically'.

Yeah, the economy has definitely changed. On the other hand I'm sure some one in 1964 reading a found paper from 1914 would probably be saying the same thing.

Did you notice the article next to the one I pointed out that said the city would be foreclosing on 7 properties for back taxes. That's changed a mite also.

housing values are LOW in the burbs now. couple that with low interest rates.
it's GOV ALMIGHTY'S way of leveling the playing field.
