The topic of this discussion is, it proper for the city to appoint someone to the position of assessor who has no background whatsoever in appraisal, valuing property, real estate, taxation and the like.

Perhaps, DV, you can tell us what the qualifications of the deputy assessor is?
How about a discussion about the lack of such a position in the city budget for 2014 and suddenly there is such a position. At which council meeting was there an amendment to the city budget to create such a position and fill it?

That is not true, you know damn well many businesses in this city are tax exempt, the proof is there to show it and has already been shown numerous times on this site, if you can show proof otherwise I would love to see it.
