Do you "Politely" pay for services you use? Do you pay for services that are available but you choose not to use? Or do you use the services and then expect the rest of us to pay your share?
I never asked for these "services". I certainly didn't agree to the price for these "services". I certainly didn't agree to pay for "services" that I will never use in my lifetime. I will politely tell the government I am not going to pay for services I do not want and will not use, and I'll see how far that gets me. Thanks for the advice! |

See... Selfish. I got mine so screw everyone else. Of course, Cissy drives on roads that "he didn't agree to use or pay for... And he drinks the water, uses sewer, uses fire protection and police services that he "never asked for"... Some of the roads that Cissy drives on were built & paid for originally in the 1700's or 1800's... But Cissy never got the bill! |

so are they paid for yet or not? paying 200-300 years for a road seems a bit steep |

Try $800 billion in bank bailouts, $80 billion auto bailout, $500 million Solyndra give-a-way. Do I need to continue? Sorry for my selfishness by not letting bankers, auto manufactures, and solar technology companies get theirs. Boy, I really didn't see how selfish I was until you pointed it out. BTW...did I forget to mention the $2 trillion for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or the $500 million in cruise missiles fired into Libya that I so selfishly did not want to give my money to. Oh...did I forget to sing the praises of the $1.4 billion NYS gave Global Foundries? I mean...I should be on my knees begging for forgiveness for not supporting the billion dollars given to a multinational corporation. After all...Global Foundries has to "get theirs". I am a terrible selfish person for not wanting to give more to this great institution called government. |

What do you mean I didn't get the bill? There was no income tax in the 1700-1800's. For roads that cost the taxpayer very little to build then, I am forced to pay THOUSANDS of dollars for now. It's called inflation Box. I get the bill in spades! I don't only pay for the roads, I pay interest to the private banks and bond holders loaning the money. |

STEAL??? HUH. I thought that Veterans exemptions and senior exemptions were voted on by the public in their municipalities... and won by a large margin.
That's the way it was in our community.
they are a podium puck to pull at the 'heart strings' of fellow humans....much like guilt/purgatory in religion.... |

Unlike many on this board, I pay my taxes and don't complain about them. I pay what is required of me and I'm glad that a portion of my taxes is going to help those less fortunate than myself.
I wonder if Henry or Cicero take their STAR exemption??? Or... Is the STAR exemption one of their... "DO as I Say, Not as I Do" issues.
but is it your 'fair share'??????? those less fortunate probably feel that if you can give that much then you could give more....compulsory donation of course..... |

I hope the Pope's showers are ADA compliant and offer a transgender shower stall. If he wants to do the same in America, he will have to understand the "common sense" regulations. |
