A fetus is not a human being  The fetus is a separate human being.  Persons who have killed pregnant women have been tried and convicted on 2 counts of Murder (1 for the mother and 1 for the child) in US Courts.

It is part of the mother until birth.

She holds the right to life for any part of herself.  No one person has the right to end the life of another human person.  The fetus is not a part of herself like her spleen or tonsils.

You want the government to hold that right.   Nope.  I - and all Pro-Lifers - want each individual, including babies in the womb, to have the Right to Life.  The government should not have the right to end the life of any innocent human being.

Except for your lords and masters in the government.  You want to be the lord and master over another humans life.  I only recognize God as the Lord and Master of my life or anyone else's life.

paleeeeze lets not start this abortion issue AGAIN!!!

EVERYONE has their own opinion....so just live it!

AGAIN....we will all know IF anyone has blood on their hands when we die.

Folks are basically getting sick and tired of this issue being used just to garner votes!!

Would you have used that same argument when Hitler was sending millions to the Death Camps?

I'll be quiet when the Right to Life for ALL humans from conception to natural death is Constitutionally protected.

It's DVOR's only issue.  No matter what the thread subject, DVOR sees it as abortion.

You know that is not true.  You know very well that I post about a broad range of issues and subjects -- including subjects not even related to politics.

You just can't come up with a logical, factual argument to counter my position that EVERY human being has the fundamental Right to Life and that we should expect our elected officials to support that 100%.

So tell us DV, how come IF you are supposedly so anti-abortion (interesting, maybe only posting such comments because of a dictate from your employer), tell us how come you LOVED THE PRO ABORTION SUSAN SAVAGE?????  He praised her so much, basically insinuating that she was the almighty savior of Schenectady.

Can you answer that one?    Ah, of course, when we prove DV  a liar, he does not respond---just like we proved him a liar about taxes he will not speak about taxes anymore, avoids responding to ANYTHING that asks him to prove the county taxes are lower than the 1970's and now will NOT respond to speak about his overwhelming support for Cuomo in 2010, Tonko then and how DV LOVED pro-abortion SUSAN SAVAGE..

Notice no speak about Farley vs Chuckie's wife, NOT ONE WORD, for all the years of anti-Farley comments he obviously does not want Farley to be re-elected so his Chuckie's wife his choice?   Well?????

One issue voter?

OK... for the hundredth time...
EVERY human being has the fundamental Right to Life (We Agree)
Is an embryo a human being?  Is a zygote a human being?
I'm sure that your position is that a fertilized human egg is a human being.  Some religions do believe this.
But most Americans disagree with that position.  Many mainstream American religions disagree with that
position.

~Some mainline Protestant denominations such as the Methodist Church, United Church of Christ,
and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America allow abortion.
~Hinduism and Islam allow abortion.
~Judaism: Orthodox Jewish teaching sanctions abortion if necessary to safeguard the life of the
pregnant woman.  While the Reform, Reconstructionist and Conservative movements openly
advocate for the right to a safe and accessible abortion.
~The Unitarian Universalist Church strongly supports abortion rights.

I've answered your "logical factual argument to counter your position...
DVOR attempts to force his personal religious beliefs as if he owns the moral view, but as I've shown
there are huge differences in opinions on this issue, and MOST AMERICANS SUPPORT ABORTION, OR
SUPPORT IT WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS.

DV, Your merely repeat everything the Catholic Church says about abortion.  As Catholics ourselves, we would like to see a world without abortion.

However not ALL people of all religions or lack of religion believe in life beginning at conception.   And YOU have NOT provided one teeny weeny shred of evidence that it does, no scientific evidence whatsoever.

But you want to force the Catholic belief on everyone.

Tell us DV, how about if the radical Islamic tried to force their beliefs on us?   Would you be OK with that?   If not, then why do you think it's appropriate to FORCE Catholic beliefs on everyone?

Try answering that DV.   Why should Catholic beliefs be FORCED upon all--non Cathoics, non Christians, Jeiwsh, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhists, Pagan, Wiccan, athiests, etc. etc.????    Tell us why everyone should be FORCED to follow the Catholic teachings?

we should expect our elected officials to support that 100%.

All elected officials, no matter what their religion or lack of, are supposed to be forced to do, to vote, etc, based on the Catholic church's beliefs, right?

How about all elected officials, no matter what their religion or lack of, be forced to do, vote, etc, based on what conservative Islamic believes, no women are allowed out of the house for any reason without a man accompanying them and they must cover everything and "god forbid" quarter square inch of skin shows.

How about that, DV???????   Care to address that?

I'm sure that your position is that a fertilized human egg is a human being.  Some religions do believe this.
But most Americans disagree with that position.  Many mainstream American religions disagree with that
position.   The SCIENTIFIC FACT is that the fertilzed egg is a human life.  You can choose to deny science if you choose to remain uninformed.

Only 2.3% of abortions are performed because the mother's life is in danger.  Catholic Church teaching allows for such an exception.  I have NEVER believed or said that there should not be that exception.  However, I can tell you from family experience that 2 very healthy 31 year adults (both intelligent, well-educated, productive, athletic -- 1 competes in Tratholons and the other almost qualified for the US Olympic team in Track) would not be here today if their parents had taken the doctor's advice and had an abortion because the pregnancy was a danger to the health of the mother.
~The Unitarian Universalist Church strongly supports abortion rights.

I've answered your "logical factual argument to counter your position...
DVOR attempts to force his personal religious beliefs as if he owns the moral view, It si aposition held by many Americans - Catholic and of all faiths - and I have just as much right to advocate for my position as any other American.  I have every right to refuse to support and refuse to vote for candidates that don't share that position.  I have the right to speak out and educate others as to the extremist positions of folks like Tonko, Tkaczyk, Eldridge, Woolf, etc. --- who refuse to allow any restrictions on abortion.but as I've shown there are huge differences in opinions on this issue, and MOST AMERICANS SUPPORT ABORTION, OR
SUPPORT IT WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS.   A majority of Americans supported slavery and racial discrimination at one time.  A majority of Americans didn't think women should vote or own property at one time.  A majority of Germans thought it was OK to send Jews, Gypsies, Poles and others to the gas chambers.
Public opinion polls do NOT make a position morally acceptable if the position is inherently immoral to begin with.

A fertilized egg IS HUMAN LIFE.  But not a HUMAN BEING!  An appendix is "human life"... but
not a HUMAN BEING.  Lyposuction sucks out "HUMAN LIFE" but not a HUMAN BEING.

You are entitled to your opinion... but it's only that... an opinion.  Thankfully America has
ruled to make abortion legal in this country.

America didn't rule...Seven justices did in 1973.  Making abortion legal would suggest there was legislation passed.  That never happened.  The Supreme Court invented a right.

So now you are willing to admit that Human Life exists from the moment of conception.

You are still too blinded by extremism to realize that it IS a unique human life and not just a bodily organ like an appendix.  I guess you SCIENCE DENIERS are very slow to actually catch on.

Thankfully, America is a free country and we have the opportunity to elect legislators and executives who in turn appoint the federal court judges and many highest state court judges (or they are elected - depending on the state).   Someday, Roe vs. Wade will be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court and/or a Constitutional amendment will guarantee the Right to Life from conception through natural death.   Until that great day when ALL human life is protected, I will not be silent and I will work hard -along with millions of others - to defeat the Pro-Death politicians, elect Pro-Life candidates to public office and support organizations that help women CHOOSE life by bringing their babies to term, raising them after they are born or putting them up for legal adoption.

So .

Look, DV the big chicken can't address the EVIDENCE I provided that PROVES he OVERWHELMINGLY has supported pro-abortion candidates.

He must be coming on here posting his fairy tales in order to impress his co-workers.

So DV, you LOVE the pro-abortion Susie Savage, care to address that?    NOPE, of course not, catch him in a lie and he avoids comment.

Notice who he seems to claim that the U.S. must have Catholicism as the official religion of this country, but he won't speak about how about some other religion rule him.

DVOR pretends to actually debate this point.
Of course HUMAN LIFE exists.
Human cancer is HUMAN LIFE... But it's not a HUMAN BEING!
Human sperm is HUMAN LIFE... But it's not a HUMAN BEING!
Human skin cells are HUMAN LIFE... But it's not a HUMAN BEING!
Human blood is HUMAN LIFE... But it's not a HUMAN BEING!
Human zygotes are HUMAN LIFE... But it's not a HUMAN BEING!
etc etc etc.

Your religious beliefs are yours... why force them on the rest of us?
