My 77 years old aunt went  With a friend to town hall to complain about a neighbor and his fireworks.

She first spoke to the people on the first floor and was sent to the Town Clerk to see if the neighbor had a permit. He did not.

So the clerk said to her to go back downstairs and file a complaint to code enforcement.

how the hell is that supposed to work, code enforcement works 8:30-4:30pm how the hell are they going to catch someone after dark in July?

Why was she not directed to call the Rotterdam Police!!!

Shouldn't the clerk know the town code/laws? - she is responsible for maintaining them.

the police were called for many fireworks incidents....they didn't cath them all....and the ones they did catch....waited awhile and started the fireworks all over

again.....AND...then you have the firecrackers....continuous and annoying more so than the fireworks....

from my view....fireworks were going on all over the county.......and did anyone have a permit???....I doubt it...

everyone should know enuf to call the police to complain......they DO comply with the complaint.......and tirelessly.....

You have to remember, she has the same brain as Pinocchio

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

that's cause some cops supply and shoot them off themselves...for family and friends!!!
