Conditional freedom.

Nationalist.

The immigrants don't want freedom, they want social welfare.  I wouldn't immigrate to Canada for medical care, and act as if I was there for freedom.  I would be there to sponge off of their social medical, not freedom.

You are not fine with immigration.

You are fine with selective immigration.

Tea Party Nationalist.

I'll say it again...I'm fine with immigration. I'm fine with not documenting immigrants.  I'm fine with them keeping their native language.  If fine with them renting an apartment or buying a home, and sending their children to school, I'm fine with them going to the doctors and hospitals and paying for their care.  If fine with working for an immigrant or an immigrant working for me.  What I'm not fine with, is immigration of children that will knowingly arrive in a land for which they will mostly likely not do any of these things without huge subsidies.  And not subsidies from church and charitable organizations, but rather the state, local, and federal government.

You are not one of those that believes 90k South Americans woke up one day and booked a train to America are you?  It really wasn't immigration, it was a form a asylum orchestrated by the federal government.

[b]Really? You think hating and fearing people that you have never met or likely will never meet is rational hatred and fear?

You are ranting on here ready to start a war against people who have done absolutely nothing to any American.

You seek to promote fear, distrust and hatred of those who you have collectively judged to be guilty of maybe someday putting a burden on your wallet.

Please show me a post that I suffer from xenophobia?  When did I say I personally hated or feared foreigners immigrating to America?  Please, I would love to see it.  You throw this term around like box throws "racist" around.  My opposition to dumping hundreds of thousands of children onto the streets of America have NOTHING to do with their national origin, their religious beliefs, the color of their skin, or their language.  So please stop with the xenophobia smear, it's beneath you to use such loaded language.  I understand you are passionate about your argument, but calling me a xenophobe is a bit over the top.

They deal with it by teaching tolerance and acceptance of minority diversity.
http://cadmus.eui.eu/bitstream/handle/1814/20975/ACCEPT_Handbook_Tolerance_2012_rev2.pdf?sequence=1
Really...you quote a HANDBOOK as example??? Try reading the first pages where it clearly states the anxiety that
Europeans feel about the illegal migration and the impact on their economy.  You must know so much more
than the Euros do, because in my "many, many" trips to Europe the discussions are not supporting your claim
of tolerance and acceptance. Some of the discussions centered on hatred for the lack of Government control of the
situation and intolerance for what many Euros feel are illegal immigrants.

Europe had open borders long before the Euro was born.
Really...once again, in the last 35 years I have traveled to Europe for work over 100 times.
Prior to the formation of the EU, my self and my Euro partners had to clear passport control and have
a valid passport or in some cases visa, in order to travel between European countries!

Xenophobes call it "suffering from illegal immigrants."
"Xenophobe: one unduly fearful of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin"
You learned a new word and now troll it all around...maybe you should try to understand how to use
the word in context to the discussion....I haven't seen anything anyone has posted
saying their position is based on fear of something foreign or people of foreign origin. Everything I've read is
the concerns centered around the illegal migration and the impact on our economy and the welfare of
those illegally crossing the border....that is not Xenophobia!

My family has been traveling to Europe since the early 90's.

Border crossings have never been an issue at all.

The intolerance and fear that you speak of is being taught to be xenophobia.

The document that you failed to read thoroughly is what students in Europe are given.

It does say that there is much fear and anxiety, but it explains how to overcome it and through
education, develop tolerance and acceptance of ethnic diversity.

It is an actual student handbook for addressing the fears and concerns of people like you, and
how to overcome intolerant and unacceptance.

But go ahead and judge the book by first few lines.

Having a handbook and giving it to students DOES NOT show that tolerance exists.

It only indicates that tolerance is being taught...not necessarily followed.

Try using experience of discussions with Euros and Euro Government and

Corp Executives and Mgmt before you make such bold claims.

Didn't say border crossing was a problem...said that there were borders, and that's why

passports were required. For clarification, EU was created in 1993,

so IF your family traveled there in early 90's, then likely it was after EU was created!

I would be concerned with the busing of tens of thousands of unaccompanied poor American children from NY, and dumping them onto the streets of Mexico City without a penny in their pocket.  That must be my xenophobia again.

Not in the 90's, since the early 90's.

And of course you are using Euro government, corporate management and executives as your source of mainstream intolerant attitudes.

That's hilarious.

It doesn't matter what the old school cowards preach.

The kids of today don't buy into intolerance and nationalist exclusivity.

Changing immigration policies, tolerance and accepted ethic diversity is currently a growing trend worldwide.

Old school whiners are fading away, along with religious fanaticism.

Hilarious boasting and not factual or supportive.

1993 IS early 90's....DUH!!!

Many of those I spoke with are people ranging in age from
28 to 50...so I doubt that is old school as you say. Some were small
business owners, some were recent graduates of Universities, some
were in local government.

I repeat, a handbook does not support your claim at all.  Factual
discussion with those affected are real life, not a "teaching guide".
You may wish your claims to be true, but I know for fact they are not.

Again, Xenophobia is your poorly used word of the day. Actually, you
are a great example of a Xenophobe. If something is different than what
you are used to, it's foreign and causes you anxiety.

First, you are using imaginary unrealistic scenarios.

You also worry way too much about other people that get a helping hand.

You rant about peanuts while being extorted and your money given out to corporations by the billions.

I personally think we don't need government employees managing our lives.

You not only seem to want government intervention, but you are practically demanding it.

You do realize that "most countries" did not join the union until well after the turn of the century.

The Euro wasn't even widely implemented until 2002.

So continue to be intolerant.

That's your choice.

But the times are a changing.

So continue to try and support your false claims
and unsupported statements.  You should learn that
just because you wish it were so, doesn't make it so!

you are proven wrong and continue to try and prove your position is correct...
keep trying.  Not going to work.  You don't have the correct knowledge lever
to boast as you have in your grandiloquent manner.

A growing trend?  The breakup of the Euro Zone is accelerating.  Nationalism IS GROWING.  Don't get my words confused with patriotic nationalism.  But nationalism vs internationalism.  The USSR and the communists were the internationalists.  They tried to eliminate religion and spread communism to unite the word.  It collapsed under its own weight.  It broke apart because it made every state poorer.  The Euro Zone is facing the same economic and social problems.

Read Animal Farm.  It is always the same problem.  The promise of a better life for the poor.  Only to realize, when government acts as the facilitator, the aristocrats running the government end up wealthy, and everybody else ends up poor.

Immigration is fine when done willingly and with the means to do it.  When the penny-less immigrate to add stress to the social welfare system, it will lead to a collapse of the system, causing an even larger problem.

The problem isn't immigration, it's social welfare.  Get rid of social welfare, and immigration would largely go unnoticed.  Except by the real xenophobes.
