I read the upgrade will cost $193,000 and from research most places only offer a 5 year warranty, 2 being most common on outdoor units which this will be, lets hope nothing happens that will be a big fix and more money down the drain.

AND it is being paid for WITH TAXPAYERS MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!    So Almost $200,000 of tax dollars for 5 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, the dems and King Phillip just keep STEALING from the taxpayers, spending uncontrollably on NON-ESSENTIALS downtown, money to millionaires.

And the city (outside of downtown) is becoming a ghost town, people are fleeing the city in droves, houses don't sell, even the mayor's real estate program is a massive failure.

But DV keeps on shaking his pom poms, cheering for the wild uncontrolled spending of tax money downtown.   Funny, no mater how much brown nosing he does, no one gives him a cushy job.   One of these days, his boss (priest/bishop) needs to be told how DV cheers for the government stealing (taxing) from the poor in the city to give the money to millionaires.  He allegedly is an outreach worker.   No one in the Catholic church would want an "outreach worker who support the government taking from the poor to pay the millionaires."

Being a outside unit I'm guessing it is only a 2 year warranty and you're correct it is our money being pissed away on it, there was nothing wrong with the old sign basic maintenance couldn't have kept up. I can't imagine how gaudy looking this is going to look.

What was the last time you heard someone complaining about proctors changing the sign and blocking the street? (which it doesn't anyway). Have you ever seen them changing the sign, I have and there is no interference with the little traffic that goes through there.

ROFL!

PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Take some photos of the "lots of pedestrians" downtown  and post them.

Oh, DV doesn't even know how to use a camera   LOL.     And since he has this wild imagination, we know already that he will NOT post even ONE picture of the "lots of pedestrians" on the street

HA HA HA HA HA HA    The laugh is on DV.

The FEW that are there can EASILY walk around a temporary ladder AS EASILY as they walk around for days, no, MONTHS ON END away from the construction, like when it said "sidewalk closed"

That is just B.S. -- your statement that there is little pedestrian traffic on State Street.

So come on dV, PROVE that there is A LOT of pedestrian traffic on State St.

Are you TOO CHICKEN to prove what you say??????

Of course, DV will pretend to not see my message and then act like no one asked him to prove what he said.

Everyone should ask DV to provide proof, VIA PHOTO HE PERSONLLY TAKES and post it.  And NOT photos during the "beach party on asphalt"

There actually is pretty good foot traffic downtown at lunch...

People visiting the various restaurants, walking to get out, etc...

That being said, that foot traffic is definitely not resulting in a better tax base for the struggling homeowners...  Nor improved services.

Sorry I was just comparing downtown Schenectady to the heavy traffic I see at downtown Albany or Saratoga, compared to them it isn't a lot of traffic at all.

In Saratoga yesterday the sidewalks were full of people shopping, eating, and waiting for the Phish Concert to start.

We are waiting for DV to post his own personally taken photos of the pedestrians.

(of course he doesn't even know how to use a camera)

But yes, I guess there are many pedestrians walking around downtown, the winos and wierdos
