The Town of Rotterdam remains under a state of emergency today, July 2, 2014. The Town had an unprecedented six (6) water main breaks on June 30, 2014. Approximately twenty thousand (20,000) residents remain without adequate drinking water. The Town has repaired all six water main breaks as of 2:00 p.m., July 1, 2014. Water has been slowly restored to the final area affected. All residents should currently have substantial pressure for necessary household activities, absent any further breaks or complications.
