SCHENECTADY - A 34-year-old man was stabbed in the face Monday during an attack at his Stanley Street home, police said.

Dontray L Lunday, 34, of 1018 Stanley St., was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital after the 9:57 a.m. attack at his home, police said. The injury is not life-threatening.

Detectives are investigating the case and the exact chain of events that led to the stabbing are not clear, police said.

No arrests have been made.

Wait, we must build up the community, not "be negative" and "tear it down."

Bad things happen but we should ignore them, pretend they haven't happened.  Just cheer for downtown and all the wild spending there while crime prevention is put on the low priority.

Just keep bragging saying the city is oh so wonderful so people will move in so more taxes will be given to the rich dem cronies and lose money on a home purchase.

Or keep quiet about the negatives so people will move into the city and the criminals will have more people to burglarize and vandalize.

Now what person who claims the city is so wonderful but refuses to live IN the city?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Perhaps the residents of the City of Schenectady should emigrate to Mexico and Latin American nations to escape the violence by local drug cartels and rival gangs

And let's work to build up the city, don't be negative.  Get people to move in here so there children at play in summer in mid day could get stabbed or shot.

Don't tell prospective buyers that they take their lives in their hands.

tired of this news....believe it is all drug related.....will they ever find the perp???....maybe.....slep on the iwrist...jail time......and released....

only to let these perps do what they do...

this isn't news to me anymore...cause it's happening very frequently and now we are in the HOT months....it will continue to get worse....

we have drug infested neighborhoods in all the areas surrounding the city and outside...

we are all at risk....between addicts looking for money......and dope sellers .  wanting their money....

that's my spiel for today....

The energy and excitement being generated by the RENAISSANCE of Schenectady is over the top.

SCHENECTADY -- Police have arrested three people, including a mother and son, for their roles in setting fire to a vacant home in May.

Sardawatie Beedasee, 42, and Romal Ramgadoo, 21, were both charged with arson, along with a 14-year-old who is not being identified due to his age. Authorities say Beedasee, who owns the home that was set on fire, instructed her son to hire someone to set the fire in order to collect insurance money.

Ramgadoo allegedly hired the 14-year-old boy to set fire to the vacant property at 66/68 Linen Street..

NYC transients and the like....and to say the word RENAISSANCE....that word does not describe anything but disrepair, ....it is appalling

to me to use such a distinguished word in this context that the city is alive and well........

it's dead and that's what the word would be if a troll didn't use it so loosely which is so ineffective....  and unintelligent....

come on people let's get some REAL conversation going....ya can't solve the problem if there is a problem ...continuously.....

I don't think it has anything to do with NYC transients as much as it is a marker for the 'new utopia'....
