Erie looks better..........but it could be a 'snow removal disaster'.

With one of the highest taxes in the state.....ALL roads should be pristine!!!

It is obvious that the people making the snide comments haven't actually taken the time to look around and support the MANY businesses in Downtown Schenectady.  If they did, they would know that there are a lot more businesses along Erie Boulevard than Wendy's and Sunoco.
And pretty soon, there will be quite a lot more businesses and offices down there.

I know.

Someday I might just need a key made.

Yeah, those trees and grass will be DEAD from plowing.  When the salt gets on there.

Yeah, how about that one DV, tell us how much the taxpayer homeowners will have to pay in taxes to replant grass every year on the little islands because the salt will KILL the grass.  And perhaps the trees too?

Well Mr "know it all" DV. how about telling us about the cost of planting grass, fertilizing it, paying employees to cut it, paying tree pruners to take care of the trees, etc.

TOTALLY SILENT on the maintenance cost to the taxpayers!

The final paving of Erie Boulevard is being done and the whole project looks great.  More exciting new economic development announcements to come in the weeks and months ahead along Erie Boulevard and throughout the City-County of Schenectady.

The RENAISSANCE continues.

Gee, DV, you claim the city is improving oh so much, it's so wonderful.

Now think of this.  House prices in the city are cheap cheap cheap.
There is an overabundance of houses for sale in the city
Your buddy dems are ready to take money from the taxpayers to give a homebuyer more money to fix up a house
Your buddy dems are ready to take money from the taxpayers to give you the down payment money to buy a house
Interest rates are very low, and your buddy dems would probably get you an interest rate lower than the hardworking taxpayers can get.

And based on what you have been saying for years --- that the city is improving, gee, you better hurry right now and buy a house because if everything is getting so rosy in the city, if you buy a house today it will triple in value within a few years.

So how come you aren't buying a house IN the city, DV??????

Of course, all these past few years that DV has been posting, saying the city is improving, it's in a grand renaissance, the home values have been FALLING which is EVIDENCE of the city FAILING

DV will NOT reply, will NOT post to comment on the TRUTH.    And THAT is a GUARANTEE.  I repeatedly state the TRUTH that DV will NOT comment on the falling home values, falling tax base, falling home sales, falling home sale prices, increased taxes which all prove THERE IS NO RENAISSANCE.

I asked you a serious question, what new businesses have you heard are moving onto Erie Blvd? The last new business I seen was a used car dealership which there is already 3 on the road.

To hell with us?   Um, haven't you seen the blight spreading like wildfire?   Haven't you seen  the EVIDENCE of the growing ghost town?

OF COURSE YOU HAVE SEEN IT!  But You are TO0O COWARDLY to EVER COMMENT on the TRUTH the FACTS.   Why is that?  Embarrassing, isn't it.

Where is the renaissance?   In the pockets of the city and county dem leaders and that's all.

The people, the homeowners, the residents, the homes, and the neighborhoods - THERE IS NO RENAISSANE and I defy you DV to provide ONE teeny weeny shred of EVIDENCE to the contrary.

TOTAL SILENCE, wait, maybe a nonsense babble response, but NEVER a comment SPECIFICALLY about the falling tax base, increased taxes, falling property values, falling home sales, falling home sale prices, elimination of essential services, city totally ignoring the neighborhoods, etc    DV's total silence on these issues proves he totally agrees with us

I've figured it out Henry.   DV's silence is the indicator that he agrees with us.     He has seen EVIDFENCE--especially the photos of the very nice homes in nicer neighborhoods that are EMPTY because the sellers have fled the city before their houses sold (hell, they flee before the houses are even listed), along with the photos showing the abandoned, blighted houses.  You see, when he goes to his so called "job" over at the old St Helen's, he avoids at all cost driving through the city.  He mentioned he's on Erie Blvd every day.  Of course, he won't drive down INTO the city, he drives down Erie and most likely goes into Glenville, probably taking Glenridge Rd to Balltown back to Union St, thereby avoiding driving through the ghost town.  And those he "serves' are high class Nisky people, so he doesn't have to deal with the poor financially struggling people of the city.   His avoidance in going INTO the city proves he agrees with us.

So when we ask him to cite evidence of a renaissance in light of the EVIDENCE showing everything from the falling tax base to the photos of the ghost town, his lack of response to disprove what we say, proves he agrees with us.

Think of it this way, ask the question,  "Where is the improvement in the neighborhoods where the people live?"     To not respond is proof that your response is "nothing."   You can type the word "nothing." or you can avoid typing a response -- but either way the response is "nothing."

And so, to ask DV, "What is the return (on investment) to the taxpayers, the homeowners?"     Since the answer, we all know, is "nothing," DV chooses "silence" to give us the answer of "nothing."

Well..............there are many street with islands and they recover after winter time.
The issue is with the 'quality of plowing' that is the question.

For that matter, a meteor the size of a tandem tractor trailer could hit the earth tomorrow and ruin our plans for the weekend.  You always look at the negative side of everything.  The fact is that Erie Boulevard looks much better, has much needed updated infrastructure under the roadbed that will cost less to maintain and encourage more economic development projects -- and all those pesky pot holes and dips in the pavement are gone.
Look on the bright side of life -- then maybe you will be happier and enjoy life.

I guess you missed the announcement of the new German restaurant (the Biergarten) that will open in 2015 and there will be more announcements in the weeks and months ahead.  Be patient.  Think positive thoughts for a change then maybe you will happier and enjoy life more.

Hey DV, what about the infrastructure, the roadbed, the potholes, and the pavement IN THE NEIGHBOHOODS -- on the streets where the taxpayers actually live??????   Whatever opens on Erie Blvd will be 100% tax exempt.

What about the financially struggling homeowners who pay the taxes- they do NOT LIVE on Erie Blvd, what to the homeowners get where they live??????

Your lack of stating what the homeowners get proves that you are responding that the homeowners are getting nothing.

Look on the bright side of life -- then maybe you will be happier and enjoy life.

DV, what bright side is there to a falling home value combined with increased taxes and cuts in essential services?

What is the bright side to having to pay expensive repairs to your car because your tax money is not used to pay for the streets where you live (but rather is used to pay for the streets of tax exempt millionaire political cronies?

What is the bright side of blight and abandoned houses all around?

what is the bright side of buying a house and then finding your home is worth less than what your mortgage is for?

What is the bright side of having to sell house at a loss?

Ah, we know that you are replying that there is nothing to the bright side of these questions because your lack of typing a response shows that your response is "nothing."

See that DV, you DO agree with me!

That will be handy for those looking for an additional bar when they leave the other 37 bars.

Ah the same guy who owns Bombers downtown will get another business which will cost us taxpayers, you do know it is the same guy right?
