Exactly .. he was just being a dick.

Sometimes it takes being a dick to expose the police state and reality that every American is viewed by law enforcement as a potential terrorist.  The irony is, we now know it is the government secretly spying on every American's private communications and collecting data, BUT... when you openly film a government building and collect data, YOU are the one suspected of breaking the law and detained for questioning.

Talk about paranoia.

Your statement reflects the lack of reality and understanding within your mind.
You obviously don't grasp today's world and the changes that have
occurred since 9/11, and the ramifications and issues surrounding them.
If you choose to live in a vacuum, as you seem to, then life is
only viewed as you prefer it to be in your world. Sorry to burst your
bubble, but that's not how it is. People like you and the dickhead that
was taking pictures only serve to antagonize and insight, rather than
take the sensible non-combative path. You say it's personal freedoms,
etc., when in reality it's simply arrogance and attitude.

Yes, I apologize for not waking up everyday suspecting everyone's a potential terrorist.  Because that would be common sense - to suspect EVERYBODY with a video camera is a deranged killer.  Yup, I do not prefer to be in your paranoid world.

It is sad to know that there are still people invoking 9/11 to stoke the flames of paranoia and fear.

13 years and trillions of dollars later, and the government is still pushing fear into the collective conscience. And if you don't wake up every morning with the fear, there must be something wrong.

unless you have something to hide.  WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL!!!

I hate this comment because it says let the government trample my rights all they want, I didn't do nothing wrong so its ok to detain me, ask for my papers, and harass me and my family at a later date because I need them to protect me, give me a break.

That's your over the top description of your world's narrow mindedness. No one believes
everyone is a threat, but rational thought applies when actions indicate concern. The Government
is not pushing the fear, it's the actions of 9/11 and since that fuel that concern of every
level headed citizen. Again, your vacuum mind can't comprehend reality, only Cissy world logic.
I am grateful that you and a few other idiots are such a miniscule minority in life that you
are insignificant. You and your ilk rely on the rest of us to provide for you in everyway, shape
and form. You choose to whine in cyberspace...but not in a public setting for fear of ridicule
and family embarrassment. WAH WAH WAH is your only achievement in life. I believe that
your postings indicate that you are the paranoid one....fact!

You are not suspicious enough of your neighbor(remember 9/11?).  Understand, your neighbor could kill you if not watched closely by your government.  So you must empower your government to spy on your neighbor, because today you may think your neighbor is not a threat, but tomorrow your neighbor may wake up and want to blow up a shopping mall or crash a plane into a building.  You want to know when your neighbor becomes a homicidal manic don't you?

Henry, had this not taken place where it did, and was on State St in front of Proctors,
I would agree.  However, respect the situation and the imp0lications of taking pictures
in areas that do raise concern, because that is what brings a different tilt to the whole thing.

You continue to employ stupidity as your choice of responses.

If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

Lets not forget, it's not just 9/11 IT'S 9/11/01...Thirteen years ago!  Oh, in case you forgot(of course, "never forget") the hijackers were 19 Saudi nationals!  You call detaining an American with a camera filming a public building "level headed"?  That's insane.

I don't join you in your "level headed" view of the world where 300 million Americans are all terror suspects, whose communications need to be collected and monitored, and detained for filming a government building.  Maybe that's the America you want your children and grandchildren to grow up in...Not me.

How does it raise concern, he was looking at an outside building that thousands of people see everyday, he could probably get better pictures and aerial views from google maps. When questioned he told them why he was there and identified himself, this wasn't enough they wanted his papers which I guess all Americans are supposed to have today and carry at all times

I seen my neighbor standing outside doing nothing, just looking around, it looked suspicious....I should be a good American and report him to authorities, hey better safe then sorry and like they posted all over America "see something say something"
