just what we need more appts

high density population which then reduces the owners assessed value

which means single family home owners have to pay for the increased demand for services

And this is PRECISELY why DV is not in any way, manner, shape, or form, qualified to be on the planning committee.  As he ha not been a homeowner nor taxpayer; nor were his parents, and he has lived with an been supported by a pair of rich nannies for 20 years, he has no idea whatsoever what life and financial struggles are for adults who must work, pay bills, support themselves and their families, pay mortgages while seeing their home values go down, and pay ever increasing taxes.  He has no clue, he has NEVER lived it.

It was not tabled.  Just look at the Town Board Agenda for tonight:  Resolutions, 156.14, 157.14 & 158.14.

Anyone wish to shed light on who TDE is?

I see there is another meeting on June 11 for public hearing on the development of the property to allow the Apartments.

I would bet money on it approving regardless of the issues that plague that area.

The Town has a list of Town Designated Engineers they use, (all bought and paid for, tic).  You will see more and more development like this over the years.  First of all, there is very little undeveloped area left in the Town, so tax base is almost impossible to raise without the "shoe horn" principle.  Secondly, the Comp Plan, required by law, is totally outdated and vague.  That is intentional to give Boards wide lattitude in interpretation for projects.  They pay money to consultants to keep it vague, the public reaping the benefits (LOL)!

Thanks Avon,

I like how they will even humor this apartment to be built, and allow the land owners around there to be flooded more and more.

if the comp plan was ever made an important document to keep the town from being turned into a hash of sh!t then the
gumbas wouldn't be able to take the money and run.....

a sleepy town quickly built after WW2 and 'supported' by GE......taking the $$ and running.....

I hear now that the owners got a notice of the public hearing for the 11th so the "voices will be heard"....... As the town makes the owners on the road clean up industrial zoned property so the occupants of the apartments can let their pets sh*t all over their property.  Classy rotterdam classy.
