The Mont Pleasant Junior Prom, which was one of the proms that I attended, was held at the Edgewood in Rotterdam. There was no place within the city during the DARK, GLOOMY DAYS of GOP control to hold a prom.
You going to any prom is as big a fairy tale as you claiming the taxes are lower now than 10 years ago. But of course you would NEVER post a photo of you and your date as proof you went. ROFL. Just like you will NEVER pots any proof that taxes are lower in Schenectady today than 10 years ago.

Yes trying to bring attention to FACT everyone is fleeing the city. Homeowners fleeing. Even the prom goers flee the city even with the lavish taxpayer paid banquet hall. But of course King Phillip would charge them far more than the families of the students could EVER afford. After all, it is a FACT that King Phillip does NOT give back to the community. He takes all the taxpayer money, he doesn't pay taxes on the $25 million theater plus whatever Key Hall is, even in his personal life he STOLE from the taxpayer by LYING on his STAR application after he, himself, fled the city. And in exchange for all the tax money he refuses to hold a Thanksgiving meal for the homeless at his banquet hall. And he should offer Key Hall for free to the students in Schenectady, and contrary to what you say, DV, there is ample room for a prom there as the arcade can be used as well.
And stating the TRUTH about the city is NOT "tearing it down," but stating the TRUTHs about the city, and how the dems are staling from the homeonwers and building this downtown at taxpayers expense and how all that is causing blight to spread like wildfire through the city, and people losing their homes, etc. stating these are UNDISPUATABLE FACTS and stating these facts, these truths is just a way to educate people to how the current leadership, and leadership over the past 10 years is ruining the city, outside of downtown.
And I guess you think that the leadership, in making financially struggling homeowners in the city, with typical household incomes of $40,000, pay the taxes for the millionaires and billionaire downtown, I guess you think that is right and just, you think it's fine for homeown4ers to suffer, huh??????
It is NOT "tearing down the city" to state the TURTHS that financially struggling homeowners are being crushed by having to pay the taxes of the rich, it is something that people must be informed of so that they can get rid of the thieves running the city.
And dV, you NEVER state what the homeowners in the city are getting in return for having to pay for downtown. Again, you NEVER address what is happyhing to the tax base, the property values, the home sales, the home sale prices, the elimination or cuts in services paid for with taxes that are increasing, etc. So what have you got to say about these FACTS????? You are too much of a chicken, too much of a coward to address them. You have a very wild imagination if you think the city is improving.

Yes, Mont Pleasant's prom in 1992 was in the school gym. Many of my friends attended. I am not aware of any other proms being within the city lines though.
