Gee, remember when Schenectady had a "Rose Festival" that almost rivaled Albany's Tulip Festival.
The rose festival was held in Central Park.
But under the dem leadership, Central Park is largely ignored. The dems care ONLY about downtown and all the kickbacks they get from their millionaire political cronies in return for making the financially struggling homeowners pay to lavish the millionaires with shiny new buildings and then pay the taxes of the millionaires too.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
Instead, some private people, volunteers that is, hold a fund raiser for the rose garden because the dem leadership, while they increase the taxes on the homeowners, they make cuts to services to the taxpayers such as the park and the rose garden.
Instead, the dem leadership. under thread of stealing the houses belonging to the homeowners, STEALS their money to give to the millionaire and billionaire political cronies downtown in return for the kickbacks!

The current city leadership has decided that the taxpayers should not have a nice park, they have made cuts to the park, the city no longer takes care of the park, they don't have major events there anymore, no more skating, etc.
The city takes the tax money and gives it to the rich downtown and then has events downtown.
