“The U.S. intelligence community has retreated from claims that two emails in Hillary Clinton’s private account contained top secret information,” Politico reports.

But... But... BENGHAZI!!! Trey Gowdy is a Republican that is in charge of leading the House Select Committee on Benghazi. However, back in October, the CIA discovered that he was changing various documents in an attempt to frame Hillary Clinton. Recently, Gowdy had a lawsuit placed against him for damages for defamation by Maj. Bradley Podliska, who was a former investigator that held a seat on the Benghazi committee. According to Maj. Bradley Podliska, he felt that he had been fired from the Benghazi committee staff illegally. He also revealed various different things about what was going on in the committee. For instance, he stated that the committee’s focus, under Gowdy, was strictly focused on Hillary and not the Benghazi response, which is what it was designed to address. According to most people in Washington D.C., they feel that Gowdy should be held accountable for these crimes. He has committed various crimes that are capable of putting him in prison, and they want to see justice for his actions One thing that Gowdy did was turn the committee into a political campaign against Hillary Clinton. The big issue with this is the fact that the money that was used was completely given by taxpayers. Their budget was actually unlimited, and according to budget reports, they have actually spent $4.6 million, and all of these funds were focused on a campaign against Clinton.

Bradley Podliska, ex-Benghazi investigator, walks back Clinton claim in wrongful-termination suit
An Air Force reservist has backed off a claim that he was fired from the House Select Committee on Benghazi for his refusal to participate in what he said had become a partisan probe “hyper-focused” on Hillary Clinton.
Maj. Bradley Podliska charged in a federal lawsuit last year that his firing was retaliatory for remaining neutral in the investigation, but his attorneys set that claim aside late last month, spurring congressional Congress to say the whole case should be called off.
His attorneys quietly filed an amended complaint on Feb. 20 in which the panel’s alleged anti-Clinton bias is no longer blamed. Instead, he claims that he was retaliated against because he had briefly left the probe so he could serve as a reservist — a factor listed in the original complaint but is now the sole reason cited for his firing.
The updated lawsuit went unreported until Politico ran an article Thursday.
In the initial complaint filed last year,Maj. Podliska’s attorneys said “he was being singled out because of his military service and because he was unwilling to go along with the hyper-focus on the State Department and Secretary Clinton based upon the fact that his comprehensive, thorough, and objective investigation was pointing at other agencies and individuals and not solely the State Department and Secretary Clinton.”

House Republicans' report faults Obama on Benghazi attacks

WASHINGTON (AP) — Republicans on the House Benghazi Committee faulted the Obama administration Tuesday in a report on the deadly 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya.
The panel's chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, and other Republicans accuse the Obama administration of stonewalling important documents and witnesses. Democrats say the panel's primary goal is to undermine Hillary Clinton's presidential bid.
Clinton was secretary of state during the attacks, which killed four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.
Democrats released a report Monday saying that while the State Department's security measures in Benghazi the night of Sept. 11, 2012 were "woefully inadequate," Clinton never personally turned down a request for additional security at the U.S. outpost in Benghazi. Democrats said the military could not have done anything differently that night to save the lives of four Americans.
The dueling reports highlighted the partisanship of the inquiry, which has been marked by finger-pointing on both sides.
On Tuesday, the panel's Democrats denounced the Republicans' report as "a conspiracy theory on steroids — bringing back long-debunked allegations with no credible evidence whatsoever." The statement added: "Republicans promised a process and report that was fair and bipartisan, but this is exactly the opposite."
The State Department also issued a statement before the report's unveiling, saying that the "essential facts surrounding the 2012 attacks in Benghazi have been known for some time," and have been the subject of numerous reviews including that by an independent review board.
"We have made great progress towards making our posts safer since 2012," the statement said.
