The real estate blog, Movoto, has compiled data released by the FBI and ranked the most dangerous small cities in America. Schenectady ranked #11 on this list.
The ranking looked at cities 50,000-75,000 in size and determined the order by the number of the following crimes: burglary, theft, motor vehicle theft, murder, rape, robbery and assault.

Its the result of being a welfare city in decline where city officials don't even live in the city as well as our own police force, they see this city as a job not a project to make safer or better. The taxpayers of the city which are dwindling are the only things holding this city together and they're the ones getting the shaft.

Ron Stafford, 42, an avid hunter and single father of two from Schenectady, traveled 25 miles and sat through a three-hour service for a chance to win the gun from Grace Baptist Church on Sunday. The assault rifle is similar to the one used in the Sandy Hook massacre.
