we do NOT "whine." We state FACTS and TRUTHS about the city, and provide EVIDENCE, of all the negatives because the negatives MUST be acknowledged and addressed if the city is ever going to come out of the ghost town that the dem leaders have caused it to become
You just can't ever speak about the tax base in the city can you? Why don't you ever speak on FACTS such as falling home values, falling home sale prices, cuts in essential services combined with increase in taxes--increases in taxes to pay for non-essential STUPID things like fancy lamp posts, and making the homeowners pay for the demolition of a building owned by a multimillionaire?
Why don't you ever speak on the TRUTHS about the city, about the FACTS?????? Your refusal to ever provide evidence to what you say, and persistently avoid the 99% of the things that are negative in the city which MUST be addressed, proves that you lack any knowledge of what is going on, or you are too embarrassed to admit you are wrong, or, you get an orgasm from posting lies about economic development in the city. Gosh, dV, how many orgasms do you get a day?

They can paint that building as gaudy as they wanna' be but that Guyanese guy who reopened Harvey's On the Boulevard and painted it salmon colored had to be gone after by the city. Interesting.
Kinda' like how the DSS was allowed to keep crumbling without any fines to the Galesi Group.
Guess the $25 million they received in NYS grants to build the homeless shelter next door were used to fix up their prior mistakes.
Can't believe Mexican Radio received a façade grant for that painting eyesore.... it looks AWFUL!!!!!
Just a little while longer to wait for the Grand Opening of the beautiful, new Mexican Radio restaurant. I can't tell you the exact date - because I was told in confidence, But, it won't be long until the City-County of Schenectady is enjoying the fine culinary offerings of this great establishment.
Viva el Ciudad-Condado de Schenectady! Viva el Renacimiento!
And the cameras will be on you on Monday at 11:30, watching you first in line, and feeding your face.
Now could you care to address how home values in the city are masssively falling while taxes are masssively increasing under the city DEM leadership? Oh yeah, you won't address the truth, the truth that is provided with evidence.
It's been so much more pleasant on these city topics without you spewing fairy tales and lies about the city improving and your lies that the taxes are lower.

Nobody will be able to afford their high end fake Mexican food, aimed at gullible Americans, you can get a beef patty with cheese at your local bodega with a top pop soda and 50 cent bag of air with a coupla chips for less than $3.00! The only ones that will be eating at the Mexican radio,is the board of metroplex and some members from city council!

Expensive? They should not be charging anything, after all, they do NOT pay property or school taxes--those taxes are paid by the financially struggling homeowners of the city! And people wonder why there are so many houses for sale in the city, why houses in the city are not selling, and why there are hundreds of city tax foreclosures of the financially struggling homeowners, and something like 2,000 zombie houses (bank foreclosures), and why other LONGTIME TAXPAYING restaurants in the city are closing.

Had to laugh because Channel 6 reported on talking with the owners about what attracted them to Schenectady. They replied it "the development projects going on."
In other words, getting handouts from the taxpayers.
Yep, and have financially struggling homeowners pay your property and school taxes so you can get richer off the backs of the financially struggling homeowners.
LOOK! Pays NO TAXES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (see in red)
But also look how much the value of the property value of the place has FALLEN!!!!!!! (see in green) It was worth $2.4 million, the property value has FALLEN to $2.0 million!!!!!!!!!!
But the financially struggling homeowners are on the hook for paying the taxes on the $2.4 amount!
Cheer Cheer, Hey DV, are you going to be standing their shaking your pom poms and cheering for falling property values at taxpayer expense, while waiting in line to get in there today?
News on TV also said it has three bars. Wow, three bars, a great watering hole to get drunk. Another taxpayer funded gin mill

Channel 9's interview had the guy saying they "fell in love with Schenectady."
Will they buy a house here and live IN the city???? NOT A CHANCE !!!!!!!!! They will do NOTHING to pay taxes in the city. they won't ever live anywhere near here
By the way, a friend of ours who daughter works somewhere downtown said there were no more than two dozen people waiting outside to get in. I wouldn't waste my time

Gee, Channel 6 just was in there live. Far from a packed place.

you can only get authentic Mexican food in Mexico...or in Tucson AZ........everything here is fake and not make with truly mexico hands...
even the American Indian food is much better than these restaurants who portray AUTHENTIC...
building looks atrocious and out of sync with what the city stands for.....
ashamed to see what this government has done and allowed to happen in the city...ERIE B:VD...the biggest mistake ever......
wait until winter.......yipes....
Definitely. It's obvious the idea of narrowing Erie Blvd was to give the illusion of lots of traffic coming into the city.

Ironic that the silicon valley businesses move to Malta and Luther Forest and Schenectady gets the bodegas and tax-evading, grant-sucking Mexican restaurants.
Hum. Millions spent for hundreds of high tech, full time, good paying jobs in Saratoga County versus millions spent for a handful of Italian/Mexican/Irish- restaurants/bars with MAYBE 200 part-time employees.
Way to go Gillen. Have Galesi send you another FTD "Thank You" bouquet.
Instead of galesi sending flowers through ftd,he should send,em a cactus from Tijuana lol,I never knew that cactus grew inHarlem, oops I meant Schenectady!

Well don't forget the low wage maid at the hotel. And of course the ticket takers and popcorn makers at the Bow Tie don't make much either.
Certainly 95% (or more) of the jobs "created" downtown are wages so low that they are eligible for public assistance.
Geez, taxpayers paid most of he money to build the buildings. Taxpayers in the city are paying the city and school taxes; taxpayers in the county are paying the county.
Then everyone in the county is paying for the employees' rent, food, heat, medical. This is what hey call "progress."
All the "balance sheets," all the financial records of all the downtown businesses must be made public and presented in a manner that the average person can understand it. Some of us can read financial statements and know what they mean, but many people don't have that kind of mind. Taxpayers have a BIRTHRIGHT ENTITLEMENT to have this knowledge. And the wages of the employees and how much they get in public assistance, i.e., taxpayer dollars.
