.  It is light years ahead of where it was under the FAILED, INCOMPETENT management of Boob Farley (the old GOP leadership at the county level) and Duci-Jurzynski (at the city level).

"Failed"   "Incompetent"

DV stop being a coward.      Address the FACTS and the TRUTHS for once!

Massive reduction in the tax base, falling home values, inability to sell one's house, massive increase in taxes for reduced essential services, people fleeing the city, vacancy rates of residential units extraordinarily high, foreclosures at almost the highest in the city's history, blight spreading like wildfire throughout the city --- this is indicative of success and total competence of the current dem leadership?

DV is nothing more than a coward and will FOREVER BEYOND ETERNITY REFUSE to address the EVIDENCE that proves massive failure and incompetence of the current city/co leadership.

ANY type of assistance to a new business/economic development project is an INCENTIVE.  I purposely used the word INCENTIVE without specifying a specific form of incentive.  The FACT is that EVERY state uses some form of incentive to attract and retain businesses.  The most successful communities offer some form of incentive to attract and retain business.
What Metroplex does is sound, solid, perfectly-by-the-books ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.  The real crime is that ignorant dumb-a** nayboobs can't seem to comprehend how this works nor admit - despite the OVERWHELMING EVIDENCE ALL AROUND that it is working.   The City-County of Schenectady IS on the positive road to economic recovery/redevelopment.  It is light years ahead of where it was under the FAILED, INCOMPETENT management of Boob Farley (the old GOP leadership at the county level) and Duci-Jurzynski (at the city level).

It's not an incentive.  Not ALL businesses are eligible.  Taxpayer money is "invested" into private businesses based on the opinion of a politically selected agency.

I do agree, it is working, for the businesses that get the money and for the political parties that gets the campaign contributions.  As for the residents of Schenectady County, money continues to get sucked out of their pockets.

The grand opening is right around the corner.

The RENAISSANCE of the City-County of Schenectady continues.

Do you realize how absolutely ridiculous you sound?  As much as MikeChristine1 was getting to be obnoxious, you're FAR worse.  Nobody believes your BS.

It was terrible when the evil REPS/Real CONS brought in thousands of State jobs Downtown and increased resale prices. Now even the State jobs are fleeing for Delmar.
Real hoot at the Library Book Sale. Because of the idiots running the County into the ground even the DEMS are bitching about library conditions. They handed out fliers urging peeps to email the County Manager and Karen Johnson! You can't make it up. Protest to the fiscal incompetents that closed the Hamilton Hill branch.

Republicans NEVER brought thousands of state jobs to Schenectady.  The DOT and the Office of Mental Health were maybe "hundreds" of jobs -- certainly NOT thousands.

Jurzynski was the King of fiscal incompetents.  Left the city in a fiscal mess.  Routine road and sidewalk repair had not been done in years.  and on and on ...

And how about the conditio9n of the roads today?   And, um, DV, as far as sidewalks, well, you wouldn't know this because neither you nor your parents were ever homeowners in the city, but the sidewalks are NOT the responsibility of the city.

And DV, would you please respond about the tax base under Jurzynski vs now?   How about that?    And IF you ever have the guts to answer, can you please be prepared to produce evidence when you go off saying the tax base was lower back then.

And DV, under Al, how many car dealerships were in the city.   How about now?   And IF you ever have the guts to respond, would you care to produce evidence?

DV, under Al, what was the rate of abandoned houses in the city compared to now.   And be sure to produce some evidence.

And tell us how many thousands of jobs have come to the city under the dems?   The vast majority of "jobs" are nothing more than waitresses and waiters who are paid (legally) less than minimum wage. and then the other low wage maids, dishwashers, popcorn makers, ticket takers, jobs for which the people cannot support themselves on.

And DV, how about responding about the EXISTING jobs that were simply moved from one address to a downtown address?

And for all the low wage jobs that came along with the businesses, how many good paying jobs left the city.  Just in one field alone, the car dealerships all the sales people in their suits and ties, and then then the staff doing the financing, etc.  And the service departments.  All GONE.  Does the city even have any of those little corner lot fly-by-night used car sales people operating out of old gas stations?

How about talking to people.  Why don't you actually go into the city, like go over to SICM at the Baptist church on Wendell Ave and talk to them about how Schenectady people are struggling under the dems, how people cannot afford to pay their taxes.   Do you have the guts to do something like that or are you a coward?

Do you realize how ridiculous YOU and your ilk sound.  Constantly complaining.  Never happy with anything.

The FACT is that a new business is coming to the city.  The FACT is that the owners invested a few million of their own money to rehabilitate a building that was literally on the verge of collapse.  The FACT is that there are many folks in this community looking forward to the Mexican Restaurant's opening.  The FACT is that many folks see this and other new projects in our community as POSITIVE signs.

You and the naybook ilk live in some fantasy world where you think that everyone has to agree with you and can only like what you like.  The rest of us normal people in the real world just laugh at you folks and think you are a bunch of braying jack asses.

The FACT is that You REFUSE to address what is happening to the city as a result of STEALING the taxpayers money and throwing it at downtown.

The ONLY ones who see this as a positive are the millionaires who are getting rich off the financially homeowners.

Yes, let my better half and me be obnoxious.  Answer these DV:

What has downtown done to the tax base?
What has downtown done to home values?
What has downtown done for home sales in the city
What has downtown done for the home sale prices in the city?
What had downtown done to the tax bills?
What has downtown done for essential services to the residents who paid for downtown?
What has downtown done to the number of foreclosures in the city?
What has downtown done to the vacancy rate of housing in the city?

Open your eyes DV and see the blight spreading like wildfire in the city.

How about speaking about the city outside of downtown and tell us what the people are getting in return for the theft of their hard earned money.  Stop being a coward by avoiding talking about what is happening in the neighborhoods where the people and homeowners are footing the bill.

Go ovedr toe SICM there on Wendell Ave and talk to the people who go their for services because they can't afford the tax bils, or they can't afford the rents that landlords must pay in order to pay the taxes.  Oh that's right, you don't even put your pinky toe into the city.  You wouldn't even remotely dream of living IN the city.

Of course,. we all know DV better than DV knows himself, he will NEVER NEVER NEVER post/write about the the tax base, the property values, the home sales and falling prices, etc. etc.

The excitement

Yep, go feed your face, you know a lot about food.

But what do you know about the tax base, DV?????    Too cowardly to speak on that, huh?

About those alleged huge numbers of downtown employees, do you have the guts to tell us about how they are just lined up at the realtors to buy houses IN the city?

Total silence on those questions

Gee, he's eating so much that he no longer fits in that white shirt and the blue suit jacket any more?  The only suit he seemed to own?   Remember with the red tie left over from his childhood.

So, DV, why are you such a coward and avoid talking about the tax base?   Why is that?

But the way, DV, more PROOF of BAD stuff in the city work force that won't pay taxes in the city --- you too much of a coward to talk about the sexual harassment, yet another cover up in the city
