As her highness the Town Clerk has decided that only certain Notaries can Notarize the Opt Out Forms
and town hall is only open while most of us work 8:30am - 4:30 pm M-F

The Residents who wish to opt out are welcome to take advantage of Her highness' Notary Services after hours on

Wednesdays March 12 and March 26 at 7pm

what better way to Express your Public Comment than Demanding her highness' signature

maybe the town attorney and a town board member will step up and put her highness in her place and verify Opt Out Signatures with her

what better way to let the board how you fee about the $50 fee - Public Comment and Peaceful Demonstration

you are missing the point  - clog up a town board meeting to teach them a lesson

the politicians have created the perfect storm

right up tea party alley!!!!

the Democrats have provided the issue - now drive the point home - unless the Republicans agree with the new fees

Just remember if you don't opt out with a notarized signature you will be charged the $50

seems odd -

if I buy something in the business world  I must sign.....if I don't sign it is theft

We will all opt out.

Under cover of night, we will take our yard waste and place it at the end of the driveway of where DV lives.

was talking with some folks who are wondering how they are going to know who's property to go to and who's not to go to.
Will these poor drivers have a list?

Funny...but some of the folks who opt out said they are going to put a bag/yard waste at the end of their property and see if the guys know if it is an 'opt out' property.

If more than 1/2 the folks opt out....doesn't that mean ROTTENdam can get rid of some workers? Operating expenses should be less.....yes?

Again....keeping under the tax cap......just add FEE'S!!!

I'm sure the 'self raises' were covered, eh?

this just keeps getting funnier and funnier!

A much more effective, and from what I understand some are already planning to do, method would be to deposit it at the homes of the Supervisor and his deputy.

I'm trying to imagine this now that you mention it.  Especially if it's half opt out and half stay.  If it's only one or two on  a street who opt out the people on the trucks have an easier time.  But I would think it will slow down the work big time because they will have to have their list in hand, one extra employee per truck to look at the house number and compare the list in front of them and yell out to the guys lifting the bags to tell them not to pick up the bag at such and such house.

Guess the town will have to issue yard waste bags ONLY to those who do pay.  Yard waste bags will be special color because hopefully no one else but those who pay will get the bags and that will distinguish the opted out people from the legitimate pick ups.

Yes, let's see how this will go.

LOL Great points. Or have every homeowner fasten a large metal leaf to their home if they have not opted out.

For certain, the non-taxpayer who seems to think he knows it all will post and explain how this is going to work
