All one has to do is READ the study CAREFULLY to see that  a) the proposal does NOT include the armory site and b) that the estimated cost is 1.6 MILLION dollars.

Just like all the other "excellent plans" that your buddy dems have come up with -- all those plans that have caused a drastic reduction in the city's tax base, that have caused home values to tank, and that have caused taxes and fees to go up up up????   Are you willing to respond to that?   Are you man enough to speak about effects of all the wild uncontrolled spending on downtown?

Didn't judge you.  But apparently, you feel guilty about something.  

As for proof about Schenectady's Renaissance just look around. Compared to 10 years ago, the city is heading in a positive direction.  10 years ago - after years of Republican mismanagement at the County level and 2 failed Republican mayors - Schenectady looked like hell downtown AND the whole county had slid down into the stinking muck and mire.   So -- I thank God for the great leaders at the county level that He has given us in the past 10 years. I thank God for the many great people who are rolling up their sleeves and working together to make our community a better place to live and do business.  Finally, I pray to God every day that the miserable, backward-thinking nayboobs will either finally wake up and pitch in to help -- or will go someplace else to pedal their negativity and bullshit.

Provide EVIDENCRE of you "proof."   Sure, new buildings downtown.  Tell us where the stores are downtown where you can buy suits, dresses, shoes, coats, formal attire, play clothes, lingerie, childrens clothes, adult clothing, electronics and computers, toys, bedding and bath needs, music and DVD's, hardware & tools, window treatments, etc.   Can you tell us DV?????


Can you tell us what has happened to home values?  

Can you tell us what has happened to taxes?

Can you tell us what has happened to essential services to the residents?

Can you tell us what happened to the jewel of the city -- Central Park????



By the way we ARE pitching in to help!!!!   We are researching what is going on, we are finding the answers to what is happening with the taxes, the falling tax base, the falling property values, etc. and we are helping by getting the word out so people will know first hand what is happening in the city, and we provide the EVIDENCE.

Where is you evidence?????     Where is YOUR EVIDENCE that shows what the "return on investment" is for the taxpayers that are paying for it??????

The number of houses that sold last month, you could count on your hands while outside the city houses are selling like hotcakes!   Are you man enough to address that FACT and explain HOW that is indicative of a renaissance?

And how about the HUGE INCREASE in the number of city owners who put their houses up for sale trying to get out of the city you claim is in a renaissance???????   Are you man enough to address that FACT?

Bottomline, it is a great proposal.  Hopefully, it will be implemented soon.  There are a lot of other exciting projects on the horizon for Schenectady - the Renaissance City-County.
