So I had a chat with the owner of Jewels this morning, and contrary to the rumors reported on this board, they are planning on staying at the mall for another year. So the rumor that their lease was not going to be renewed was in fact a figment of someone's imagination. He said they plan on operating both locations for the next year. He's waiting to see how things go with the new mall ownership before making a decision. He's very optimistic btw. As to the location on Altamont Ave. he said business there is slow. He said he's getting visitors, but sales are slow.
Also, the Sbarro's at the mall closed unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. As it turns out that was due to the parent company going into bankruptcy. The location at the mall is being operated by someone as a deli and pizza joint.
I have discovered that the best way to find out what's happening is to just ask the owners of the business' instead of believing the rumors posted on the internet. I discovered this when I asked the manager of 99 Restaurant if they were also leaving as reported here, to which the reply was no.
I'll say this yet again, don't believe everything you hear on the internet.
The owner of Jewel's was the one who actually said that their lease was not going to be renewed in April 2014. He said this last summer or early fall - when he was seeking approval to open the store on Altamont Ave. and that was just prior to the mall being purchased by its new owner. There were a number of businesses in the mall that were told - during the late spring and summer of 2013 - by the previous owner that their leases were not going to be renewed when they came up in 2014. So, it is obvious that the new ownership had decided to take a different approach --- which is actually a good thing.

Now as to the second part of your statement re: girls, I am very fond of women. I have known many in my long life and have the utmost respect for them. So my rantings directed towards you are not gender specific.
As for my unwillingness to debate that too you have wrong. I will enter a debate if I have a viewpoint I wish to share. As a matter of fact if you had read some of my earlier comments they were not confrontational at all and I pointed out to senders that they had missed the point I was making. But I don't dwell on things very long. I move on.
You on the other don't, and instead of debating you begin to act like things are directed in YOUR direction and become defensive (and that's been pointed out to you by others in other threads).
