EXACTLY!!! And Adderall is the drug of choice by most college kids..............so they can 'focus' and 'stay up all night' to study for a test!!! And the parents encourage it!! (We personally know parents that 'tell' their college kids to take Adderall!!!

I know more and more of the "pro drug" parents, myself. They aren't exactly friends, more like acquaintances or friends of friends, but if you get out there and socialize much, you will be meeting them, too. Right now, I don't meet too many of the college crowd, but if I do, and they get on the topic of studying (it really doesn't come up that much), I tell them that IMHO, a large coffee works better and more safely, and also that 'cramming' for tests doesn't work so well anyway.
The younger kids, I find it much more alarming. These kids are still growing! They have a doctor on board somewhere, and also people who are supposed to be professional educators, that triumvirate of parents/pediatricians/teachers isn't one that is going to listen to the observations and opinions of a fourth party like me.

You all need to watch a documentary on PBS....about doctors/ psychiatrists, and the making/pushing of drugs by

pharmaceutical labs.

you would fully understand why , who.....pushes these.....not the WHITE" COAT BEHIND THE COUNTER...

will try to find it and post it..or at least when it will be on TV again....made me furious when I saw it...

understand the government, Wall st....Medicaid/Medicare doctors/clinics.....they have the complete responsibility

and this is the ONLY reason why street drugs are illegal......TONS OF UNTAXED MONIES OUT THERE!!

Hey.....they get them at the college clinics!! Or mom and dad send their college kid to their primary doc.
but ya see....that's 'legal'! No one is going to jail for that!

Making the right choices is not always all that easy .

Most people  cant stop eating- that should be an easy one to tone down. its not even a drug.

Because both cocaine and food satiety have to do with dopamiagenic nerotransmitter system.

humans like dopamine .... we make/release dopamine when we exercise

the industrial revolution and our types of jobs since we 'left the farm' has left us 'starving'

CHOICE!!

The so called war on drugs and with all of the education/information out there since the last generation........drugs should be all but a thing of the past.
