Well, it was a failure from inception. It doesn't survive without being heavily subsidized. If it didn't take a penny from the taxpayer, I would bet everybody would be proud of their hometown theater. Unfortunately it is clearly a boondoggle that is financially benefiting the political/not-for-profit class with tax dollars.
Well, if it did take money in the form of a tax exemption, and then the nearly $200,000, and then the room tax, and managed to at least break even, without the new parking meters, maybe I could try to be proud.
