no snow emergency declared in the city of Schenectady. One again, it will be the only city around without adequate snow plowing.
The dems only care about their precious downtown and the apparent kickbacks from the millionaire property owners downtown that the financially struggling homeowners are paying for via paying higher taxes then than should.
And vital, essential, absolute necessity service -- such as snowplowing -- to the residents of the city, to those who pay the taxes, is getting cut.
Instead, money is being spent on NON-NECESSARY theaters, gin mills, restaurants, bakeries, hotels, and STUPID fancy lighting. And the tax base falls. And property values go down. Homes can't sell. And taxes go up.
Just keep drilling this into the heads of the average people in the city.

No one is going to take any responsibility for the public safety in this city, despite the HUGE amount of money we pay them to do that.

The city council at the last committee meeting and with Olsen there, rather eliminated even the remote possibility of good plowing, i.e, odd even plowing/parking like every other city does.
The council were talking more about those who put snow in the street. And they say to call. Well, if you cll the police, they are too busy. Is the city law dept or the plowing department open right now? Can you call them? If you call tomorrow during the day, what are they going to do? NOTHING. THe city is ELIMINATING SERVICES to the taxpayers and taking the money and giving it out to downtown!
Take pictures, if you cn zoom in to get the license plate. Do it. Take it to a council meeting.

The thing is, during a storm, there should be enough highly paid city personnel out there getting a look at things, that they should catch this. I know of a highly placed public safety official (not local, of course) who used to drive around taking a first hand look at the job his people were doing with the roads. The lazy cow Queen of the City does not want to be inconvenienced, therefore none of us shall have properly plowed roads. We do have posted signs, on many of our streets, but I guess the fact that some lazy/irresponsible individuals put their personal convenience ahead of the rights of everybody else who live here counts for more than the ordinances we already have. These people who can't get the job done should be fired. I know where the Queen can put her car, since she chose to live somewhere without a driveway. BTW, I rented for years, back when you had to get your car off the street, and somehow I managed without a driveway.

COLONIE -- The Town of Colonie is urging all residents to park in their driveways or to seek alternative off-street parking. HOOSICK FALLS -- The Village of Hoosick Falls has declared a Snow Emergency starting Friday at 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. No parking will be allowed on the even side of the streets from 9 a.m. until noon. No parking will be allowed on the odd side of the streets from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

MECHANICVILLE -- The City of Mechanicville has declared a Snow Emergency effective 8 a.m. on Thursday. Cars must be parked on the even side for 24 hours. Then, effective Friday, February 14, cars must park on the odd side of the street for 24 hours.
MENANDS -- The Village of Menands has declared a Snow Emergency beginning on Thursday at 9 a.m. until further notice. During the Snow Emergency, no parking is allowed on any village streets.
NASSAU -- Due to the pending winter storm, the Town of Nassau has prohibited parking on all town roads. All vehicles must be removed by 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, including vehicles on town roadways related to the Loeffel Toxic Waste Site remediation project.
RENSSELAER -- The City of Rensselaer has declared a Snow Emergency beginning on Thursday at 8 a.m. No parking will be allowed on the odd side of the streets for 24 hours. After that time, no parking will be allowed on the even side of the streets.
SCHODACK -- The Town of Schodack has declared a Snow Emergency starting on Thursday at 8 a.m. untill noon on Friday. SCOTIA -- The Village of Scotia has declared a snow emergency starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday until noon on Friday. During that time, no parking is permitted on village streets. TOWN OF WATERFORD -- The Town of Waterford has declared a Snow Emergency for all town roads beginning at 9 am. on Thursday. Residents are asked to park in their driveways and to follow all posted alternate parking signs.
TROY -- The City of Troy has announced that crews will be plowing and clearing roads all day on Thursday. To facilitate this, the Thursday street cleaning schedule will be completed on Saturday.
VILLAGE OF WATERFORD -- The Village of Waterford has issued a Snow Emergency starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday until all streets are plowed and pushed back. Any vehicles not moved or interfering with plowing will be towed. Alternate side parking is not in effect.
