In my 50 + years this is for sure the best series I have ever watched. Still hearing the next book will not be out until 2015 The last book as your daughter knows well something major happens right at the end........ Some parts of series are alittle different from the books, my son and I will sit there watching and we both say we don't remember that in the book but come to find out some of it was just so many years in between books we forgot small details. Now for True Blood does your other half realize this is the last season?
The Green Eyed Goddess was a big fan of True Blood in it's early years... but she thinks that the last few seasons have been stretching it a bit, even for a fantasy program. I'm sure she will watch this season just to see how it all turns out.
I was never interested in HBO until while on a vacation, I watched an episode of The Sopranos. I was hooked, and have subscribed ever since.
True Detective was a good show, although I don't know how they will continue with the series. We've been watching most of Boardwalk Empire but I was disappointed when they cancelled "LUCK". I thought it was a good series, slow to start but worth another season. The show had a problem when three horses died in the course of production. Along with low viewership, that ended the program.

I watched the first 3 episodes of TURN and didn't care for it, they could have made it so much better starting the show before the war started, showing some of the major turning points leading up to the revolution.

But the story is about America's first intelligence operations not about how the war started.
My only beef with TURN is that it takes "creative license" with some of the actual facts of history. I guess that was to create some "dramatic story lines" within the overall story. However, I prefer a more "pure" telling of history.

'Da Vinci's Demons' just wrapped up season 2 in spectacular fashion with season 3 already slated for 2015.
I know everyone is wrapped up in Thrones, but the only reason why I keep Starz is because their series really are that good and ORIGINAL.
