I just watched the meeting, had taped it and was wondering on the agenda there was something about residential lots, does anyone
here know what that was about?

I found this

AN ORDINANCE Amending Chapter 230-2 of the Administrative Code of the City of Schenectady Relative to Consolidation of Residential Lots.

but don't know what amendment was going to be made.

It is good.  It is a way to allow the efficient combination of lots.  for example when you buy a vacant lot neighboring your house.  that way you get one tax bill and can add it to escrow etc.

a few years back I wanted to combine my house and lot, had to go through the engineering dept. First was told to hire a surveyor, but they want BIG
bucks, then you have to pay a fee to the city also, so I never had it done. Really don't understand why it would have to be surveyed again, as when we bought our home we had it surveyed and the city owned the lot before us Im sure they know the dimensions

The reason I wanted to do this was to have one school and property tax bill instead of two.
