SCHENECTADY — Shawna Gibson went into Schenectady Police Headquarters Friday morning for her boyfriend's criminal case and left with one of her
own.

The 20-year-old woman tried to pass through security with a loaded 9 mm in her purse around 9:15 a.m., according to a criminal complaint. City Court is
located in the same Liberty Street building as the police headquarters.

The weapon was detected by an X-ray machine manned by state court officers posted just beyond the front entrance, according to the court document
and Gibson was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

20 years old and still not a clue....someone needs to start a school class about stupid things not to do in life...maybe the college could offer another adult education course?  

class for guns????....this is not stupid....this is the way of many who have guns without a license...may even be a "community" gun...

gun laws ???.....phooey.....there are none.....

shootings in the past week all over the county........have to be diligent and be aware where you go now....not even safe in

schools,  malls, resturants...out in public......

where next???....hate to say it..

i wrote"stupid things not to do in life." not class for guns ..examples like not fighting with a cop who has a gun and can legally waste you...not going thru a metal detector into court with a gun...not walking in front of cars in traffic...not dropping out of school to sell dope...not forgetting to brushing your teeth in  the morning and at night....etc,etc...just an idea since most life things are not taught at home here in the city IMO..
