Texas

Ron Paul packs what ever venue he appears at.

I kept reading about how Ron Paul packs em in at these assemblies... but when it comes to
voting for him... no one shows up.

There's a reason for that ... they listen to this wacko and finally realize that he's a nut job, who will say ANYTHING to get a vote, or a piece of pie.

This too shall pass.

The Ron Paul candidacy was an exercise in exposing the corrupt political process and the elite Washington DC/media establishment.  It exposed how the media and political party establishment control the national debate.  They walked a fine line trying to pretend there was no bias, and giving the illusion elections are free and fair, by allowing Paul on the debate stage, but greatly limiting his time to speak.  The GOP changed their own rules to exclude Ron Paul delegates from being represented.  The establishment is going to have a tougher time in 2016 marginalizing Rand Paul, who I predict will use more libertarian rhetoric as he gets closer to the 2016 election cycle.

Ron Paul and Rand Paul is about changing the philosophical debate in the country.  Not really about winning elections for power.  Winning elections just give them a platform to speak from.  They destroyed the left vs right paradigm and injected a philosophy into national debate that was never allowed to see the light of day.

I'm not the biggest fan of Ron or Rand.

On the other hand, the Democrats couldn't get my next presidential vote for ten thousand dollars.

It's called "SOUR GRAPES".

If daddy and baby Paul campaigns weren't about winning the election...
they should have told all the RP groupies who actually believed their lies!

You may not like them, but you heard their governing philosophy and may have developed(or already held) a philosophy that varies from their general principles - like to 'do no harm'.  Something the general public never was exposed to and allowed to consider because the ideas never reached them.  Only people on college campuses may have been exposed to the idea of a truly limited government and personal freedom.

In Iowa:
~ Paul tied with Romney and Santorum for 25 percent each of college graduate.
~ Paul also tied with Romney for winning the urban vote
~ Paul won the vote among those who have never before attended a GOP caucus
~ Despite assertions that Paul is the father of the modern day Tea Party movement,
Tea Partiers in Iowa largely went for Santorum.
IN New Hampshire:
~  Also similar to Iowa,  Among Tea Party supporters, Paul took second, with 22 percent
of their vote.

Not that it matters now, those who followed his campaign knows what took place, those who didn't won't believe it or just keep telling themselves we live in a free country.

The "modern day tea party" as defined by the establishment media is the co-opted tea party of Dick Armey and Sarah Palin.  So when the exit polling redefines Tea Party to include evangelicals and social conservatives, they are able to get a polling result that looks like Santorum received "tea party" support.

There is no defined tea party with a defined platform.  So this poll is useless.
