DEM crony Brucker can't sell her Schenectady CITY house !!!!!!!!

The house was listed since last May, went through many price reductions totally $30,000 and NO ONE WANTING TO BUY!!!!.  And really, Woodlawn isn't the hill, or MP or Eastern Ave; i.e., it's one of the better areas of the city.

The house has been removed from the "for sale" listings.

Today's Gazette has a story about she's resigning after this coming Monday's meeting.   And the news as she is quoted that they will rent out the house.

Now where's that DV who claimed the mayor and his dem team doing a wonderful job in the city??????    Where is he?

IS he willing to engage in intelligent conversation about the FACTS and TRUTHS bout the city??????

Total silence from the cheerleaders for the dems and downtown.

HA HA HA.
Sorry, other people with the same problem, but I couldn't help it.
You can sell, in Woodlawn, if you knock the price down, ALOT. I know many people who "needed a bigger house", and could not afford a bigger house here, because of the bigger taxes, but at least they didn't go out of their way to inflict continuing damage on the remaining homeowners, while being dishonest about reasons for buying elsewhere. These people, the unintentional landlords, are having a very hard time renting out their homes to anyone decent, who can afford the rent. It seems that there aren't large numbers of people out there willing to rent for the same cost as buying.
Here's the thing, you want to sell, you have to take the hit, Niskayuna property is cheaper than it used to be, so you are making up for it, somewhat, on the other end.

City council compensation does not equate to a salary, but it isn't full time work. Ms. Brucker works, but her job is in private industry, so it doesn't require her to live here. If you aren't making a big salary at a city job, like for instance the mayor does, it does not make sense to be on the city council voting to uphold all their self-serving cronyism, because you aren't one of the cronies. Took her long enough to realize this.
To make it more plain, I have friends in Niskayuna, not one of the fancy streets, their house is slightly bigger than mine, with a bigger yard, but I would say it is comparable, their taxes are around $2,000 less. I have friends from my neighborhood, they also needed a bigger house, they wanted to stay here, they couldn't afford a bigger house here because the taxes were way too high. They still have the house they moved out of, btw, and struggle to keep it rented.
You have no idea, the number of Schenectadians I talk to, who want to move to Saratoga County to escape the tax hell here, but they know they can't sell their houses, except by taking a huge financial hit.

Since she may soon be a landlord, does this mean our fine code enforcers will be paying her a visit to inspect the city's latest rental property?

I think that owners' former residences are exempt, as well as single-family houses. Not 100% certain of that.

Keep the DEM implosion going! She can't sell because no one wants the insane DEM imposed property taxes so they to rent. Just like Carl Erickson did. The average resale price in Schenectady County is the
lowest in the Capital District. And still dropping while Saratoga County keeps going up flooded with exiles from Schenectady tax hell.

The funniest part is that she now wants to run for County Leg from Nisky. A carpetbagger who destroyed the City housing market. Did you hear that TJ Hooker is now chairman of the worst legislature in
Upstate NY? Only in Schenectady County.

Yean, Carl listed his house in 2011!   What year are we in now??? Three years later and he can't sell his house.

Ha ha, he is asking currently $20,000 MORE than it is assessed for!   Those of us who are intelligent know that houses are actually selling mostly for at least 30% less than the assessed value!

But you notice how those who claim the mayor and his dem team are doing a wonderful job in the city REFUSE to address the FACTS such as no one wants to buy IN the city.   Carl even got rid of McC's real estate crony from Prudential, he is using a different realtor now.

And how's that "featured" house on McC's gala open house tour, that has been listed for several years AND the asking price is almost 50% lower than the value city claims it will sell for.   How come this featured house does not even have an offer?   Where's the cheerleader?  He asks for intelligent conversation but avoids ANY conversation when confronted with the FACTS

When a house doesn't sell for the listed price in a set period of time, you have to keep dropping the price if you want to sell it. In Schenectady, that just points out the shocking difference between the assessed value and the actual value, and intelligent buyers run away.
