Haven't read the story yet but Moody's has a WARNING for Schenectady Co.

How good are the DEMS doing in the county?

Headline says county "accentuates the positive," yeah, positive for them and their apparent kickbacks.  I mean why else would a team of leaders within the same party increase taxes on financially struggling homeowners in order to cover the tax bills of the ultra rich?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

It must be because they didn't get done with downtown yet. It can't possibly be because they have no idea what they are doing, have unfounded faith in their abilities, and are not-so-secretly taking care of each other rather than the residents, can it?

It's lies on top of lies. 6,000 jobs "created". Moving Transfinder from Erie to State does not create anything. Moving Villa from Rotterdam to Broadway does not create anything. What no one wants to talk
about is the property resale implosion and the fact that the County Home loses $400,000 every month. What is the plan? Nothing a wall of silence. Meanwhile Saratoga, Montgomery and Fulton County have all
gotten out of the nursing home business. They spin everything including the horrible State audit of Metrograft where none of the recommendations have been adopted.

Maybe Schenectady should aim bigger than Transfinder or AAA. I hear the Bay Area of California has a lot of big tech companies and is taxing them to death. They are not only being taxed to death, but realty is expensive and they looking at low rent cities for expansion. I read an article that mentioned Cleveland. How about here? Let's get google, yahoo, Facebook......

this is what happens when a municipality puts all their eggs in one 'GE BASKET'. GE left and the area became a ghost town. Now the powers that be are using tax dollars and tax exemptions to try to fill the 'GE GAP'. That is clearly not working since the powers that be are also using tax dollars to support the ever growing poverty class of folks.

Schenectady will hit the wall soon enough!

it has hit the wall...you can only survive on a service job income for so long.....there is NO FUTURE in being waiters waitresses
CNA's nurse's etc etc.....$10-$15/hour means SH!T......

It is over. Be real.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Quoted from exit3

If they were smarter they would leave for Florida as GE is doing. Great example of the Florida thinking is the bricking at Dean and Union complete with asphalt patching. They
will continue to pick the carcases of fewer and fewer taxpayers.
