wow!!! how many days past the storm and Altamont ave looks like crap....no sidewalks,,,,and why no lights on poles...?
it looks like the city and soon it will become swallowed up by the city and the status quo will continue to live in
their compounds......

YUP.....agreed.

The best the east end of ROTTENdam can hope for is that the rumor of walmart buying the Rotterdam mall is true. then they will close the 'scum attracter' on Altamont ave.

and perhaps if the 'powers that be' put the 'saved rems money' into infrastructure instead of their pockets.....things would look different....yes?

That's nothin'. You should see Glenwood Boulevard, a main route to a hospital! Nyah, nyah, we're worse than you are!
I have to take pride in something. I wonder if our leader takes pride in doing a not even half-@$$ job for the city, for a $90,000 salary. Oh, wait, we're "cash-strapped". He isn't, but the city is.

My friend was blasting the city on how bad they did here on the roads, he said even the back roads in Clifton Park were nicer and clear. My street looks like hell as with most of the city, had a guy slam into the back of my car yesterday, no damage though thankfully.

ROTTENdam's roads are good....but far from as good as they use to be.

The city is a driving hazard!!

Funny tho....how the residents are warned/fined if they don't keep their property up to code, or shovel their sidewalks....but the city does little if anything to keep the roads safe.....AND THEY ARE NOT SAFE!!!

By the way..........ya know the piles of sand/salt that municipalities use for plowing? Did you all know that  you are entitled to go and load a truck and/or buckets for yourself at no cost? It's yours and you pay for it via your tax dollars. We know folks who do it all the time. So go help yourselves folks!!

Clifton Park has more white people. I guess they figure if you are crazy enough to actually live in the city, you are unworthy of service.

Lower taxes, better service. No wonder our city employees like living in Saratoga County.

If I were paid $90,000 bucks to do a job, such as take care of the residents of a city, and the roads looked like they do, I would be out there MYSELF, with a plow and a shovel, rather than let anyone see me as someone who thinks that is an acceptable job. Must be nice.

and no local police force with its full pay retirements and life time health care - we all pay for a portion of the CP police force on top of our own

however the city roads have always been sh!t filled in the winter the roads will obtain their official look in 3 to 4 days

city workers take pride in this  - it allows them to say pay up

truck had no plow and it looked as if the town front loader was there also

I didn't know the town contracted itself our for snow removal/relocation services

must be on the same reasoning as the sand/salt bumble mentions
