If you like 'ski video's' none beat Warren Miller Films.
Miller makes a feature length video every year, and every year tops the last.
Below a video trailer from Millers "Storm" video.
(At 1:30 the crew are skiing with US Marines... through the ice!)
Check it out:

I miss Warren Millers voice as the narrator of his films, its just never been the same. There was always some comedic relief parts like the following
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVkCoHOacYQ

Didn't Proctors used to show the movies every year around this time? I think it was back in the 70's and 80's. I see that on the 7th and 8th they showed this years film at the Palace in Albany.

Yes Proctors hosted the Warren Miller films for years... I think well into the 90's.  The promotion would
usually have free skis, and lift ticket giveaways from the NorthEast Ski Show at the Egg in Albany.

Warren Miller Crew Skiing With US Marines!
Check out 4:00 of the video for the
Marines Frozen Lake Training!  (Skiing into a frozen lake!)

When I was in the Corps, East coast Marines did their Cold Weather training in Labrador.
I didn't get to go there but I served with a lot of Marines who did.

When I saw that Boxy made a 'Boards v. Skis' thread, I thought he was having a hard time trying to choose between the two.

You know....Water skis or Wakeboards. Because there shouldn't be any snow and the Atlantic should be where Albany is.

Don't tell Buffalo that, they would have a hard time with the concept today.

Come this weekend and Monday, they'll forget about the snow because they'll need boats to move around.

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

In the past, I've skied with blind skiers, I've skied with amputee skiers, and with wheelchair bound
skiers, but today I skied with an 'oxygenated' skier. This guy had an oxygen bottle fitted into a
backpack made from a hydration pack. He wasn't going to let his disability keep him from a good
day on the mountain! An interesting guy!

My Grandfather spent his final days on the slopes. He was bound and determined to ski on his 90th birthday. I believe it was the only thing keeping him going those few years after my grandmother past. He skied Killington VT with his youngest son on his 90th birthday. His health deteriorated the next week and within a few months he was gone. I just hope I can still be able to buckle my boots up at that age.
