The City is in total free fall. While most of our attention is on City finances which are dismal other shady things are happening. Northside residents were shocked to see over
12 80+ year old Maples clear cut buy City subcontractors. They were not diseased. The contractors showed up at addresses didn't know which tree had Dutch Elm and just cut them all. This is a disgusting dereliction of duty by City Hall. Then they will all claim phony green credentials in a slime piece before Election Day. Hire a new arborist or at least get
an expert from Retree Schenectady involved. This has also happened on Parkwood Blvd. Green DEMS who keep supporting these incompetents should be ashamed of themselves.
If you don't carry about the 1,000 families thrown in the street because of confiscatory City taxation at least protect healthy City trees.

There is a tree in my neighborhood with a large section dead, they are afraid it is going to fall on kids, the city can't get around to that one. This is so disgraceful. I would so much rather pay a salary to a city employee with expertise in this important matter, than to some do-nothing downtown. The mature trees add to the value of property, I got that directly from a person with real expertise in the real estate/assessment field, not some local fool. Your mature street trees also play an important role in alleviating expensive runoff/water quality issues. What a crying shame.
