SCHENECTADY - Schenectady Police and the US Postal Inspection Service have identified a suspect in a pellet gun shooting.

Police say the incident happened last Thursday, when a mail carrier was struck with a pellet that was allegedly fired from a pellet gun on Van Vranken.

Residents were informed they could pick up their mail at the Schenectady Post office after delivery was suspended to over 40 buildings, some affecting multiple families.

Police  have not released the name of the suspect.

The US Postal Service plans to resume mail delivery service on Friday.

Police presence needed.......in all areas of high crime rate.......

sad day in city when you can't even get your mail.....walk the streets in safety.....and have to worry about

From what I hear, this isn't that uncommon an occurrence, it's just that this time it was somebody making the report who would draw attention.

SOCIAL ENGINEERING IS THE CAUSE OF POVERTY..........

poverty??????...it's called Drugs....the dealers are living very comfortabley.....live in with women who are a large part of it..

babies galore......welfare needs to investigate them.....

drugs besides domestic violence...is the leading cause of crime.....

This city has been in denial that this is the leading factor.....there are more renters (from NYC , etc.,) than homeowners...

the time has come that cleaning up the city would be good for the health of this city....especially for the residents who have been here the longest

after they are gone....then what???...free for all.....

This government is enabling all this chaos.....yes taxes has to do with it.....BUT......insiders say.......DRUGS....

Drugs?  Drugs are the symptoms of poverty, not the cause.  Insiders that tell you drugs, probably earn their living enforcing the prohibition laws.

besides I know A LOT of rich folks that use/trade drugs but it's packaged so well that we call it healthcare...they all
