here on out will learn of the falsehoods taught in their youth of what the status quo system is prepared to 'do for them'....

They might know its fraud but to them they feel entitled to it, as mentioned before go look at some of the cars that pull into that place, the workers there know what a scam it is but they do nothing to stop it.

Correct, everybody thinks they're entitled to somebody else's money.  Like the veterans property tax exemption.  Everybody is looking to get something for nothing.  It's an epidemic in America.

Not so much cute as 'well taken care of'. She was a very very nice woman...in fact a grandmother. She meant no ill will...was just stating her circumstance as 'matter of fact'. Again...very nice woman. She also mentioned that she needed medical attention for her eye problem. And it was her daughter, who is a nys resident who encouraged her to move here. So again, no ill will on the grandmother's side.....and all the TRUTH!

It is very common for folks to move from one state to another for their benefits, be it better jobs, housing costs, taxes or entitlements. Hey...maybe she'll get her medical treatment, get a job and pay the 'system' back via taxes.

She is just a human being in need of help and her state didn't supply it.....NYS did.....yes?

The Veterans tax exemption is something voted into law by the community.  They have a choice
to either accept, modify or reject the exemption.

If it exists in your community, it's because it was voted on by the majority of voters.

I don't vote to empower the majority to take property(money) from the minority.  You do, then you whine when the "rich" benefit from tyranny of the majority.  Keep pulling the lever, then wonder why the rich and powerful always end up in the positions to make these decisions.  It's because they know you believe in the legitimacy of elected official's power to take from one group and give to another.  They will take from you all day, then get you worked up every 2 to 4 years, to vote out the person that has been screwing you for the past 4 years, in the tune if billions of dollars.  Only to realize they screw you out of the same money.
