the point i'm trying to make is that wages and cost of living are equalative.....according to the 'system'.
example.... someone works in collections in Schenectady making $15/hr. Rent is $1000/mo.......same person moves to Florida where the same job pays them $8.50/hr and the rent is $800.
someone works as a nurse in schenectady making $20/hr. Rent is $1000/mo......same person moves to NYC where the same job pays them $40/hr and the rent is $1800.
that is what i meant by equalative. |

Who's helped by raising minimum wage? State and federal government that collect income tax. How about eliminating income tax. It's the same affect as raising minimum wage. |

Most on minimum wage pay little or no income tax, but just like the super wealthy. |

Unless they claim exempt throughout the year, uncle same and NY is taking an estimated income tax. They may get a return at the end of they year, but week to week, the government is in their pocket taking their cut. |

Huh? I'm looking for a tax break for everybody on the backs of government workers, contractors, scum politicians and central bankers(Since federal income tax only pays the interest on the national debt) And yes, even you deserve to pay no income tax. Unless you enjoy paying the interest on federal debt to wealthy bankers. Where is the wealthiest communities located in America? The surrounding areas on Washington DC and Wall St. But they deserve it, since they are the fine stewards of the economy. |

And yes, even you deserve to pay no income tax.
Unlike you, I have no problem paying my share of taxes. If everyone felt like me and paid their taxes the county would be in much better shape and prospering. It is CONSERVATIVE policy to cut taxes for the RICH and screw the middle class. A policy that you seem to agree with. |

Whatever policy obama implemented with billions in stimulus, bank and auto bailouts, and increasing income tax rates, it seems to have made the poor poorer and the rich richer. Your share of taxes pays the interest on to the bankers. Good for you looking out for bankers. How did obama phrase it? Oh yeah...elections have consequences. Yup - for the poor. But Wall Street is doing great! |

I'm curious about your expert opinion of what the world would look like today if the banks and auto industries were allowed to fail and cease to exist...specifically what the US economy would look like. |

but, you don't pay your 'fair share' of taxes, you get a veteran discount, as if everyone else is a lower class citizen and does not deserve what a 'hero veteran' deserves according to,,,,,whom? ANY tax 'discount' means the system is broken and the tax payer is being used as a pawn. |

how about if our war machine were no longer to big to fail....what would the auto industry, banks, retail industry, manufacturing industry, oil industry etc etc...... what came first, war machine or economy? |

Less poorly run criminal banks, less poorly run auto manufactures, less of a redistribution of wealth from the middle and lower economic classes to the wealthy. Probably bankers and politicians swinging from the gallows if they didn't jump from the rooftops already. The U.S. economy would have reset to the actual value of the markets, probably quite rapidly. Everybody would have felt the pain, top to bottom. Transferring trillions of dollars from the future taxpayer to corporate America(and international banks) just transferred the greed of today to the children of tomorrow. But generation ME doesn't look that far ahead. |
