Rand Paul (Ru Paul's Cousin) and the TRUTH!

Quoted Text
An Iowa evangelical Christian leader stood on stage and told the 1,200 conservatives on
Saturday that Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) had told him he couldn't be at the event because of a
"family commitment," the Des Moines Register reports.

However, the New York Post reports that Paul was in the Hamptons on Saturday "among the
intellectual elite" at a library fundraiser hosted by Alex Baldwin.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

2 problems

- no source
- not verifiable Paul ever said he had a family commitment

All hearsay.

1.  I included my 'source'.  I didn't include the link to that source.
The Des Moines Register, August 12, 2014

2.  Doug Stafford, Paul's political adviser, confirmed that Paul's wife has a book coming out next year.
Stafford said Paul "and his family stopped by an author's event Saturday night at the request of their
publisher/editor" while they were in New York for the "family commitment."
Asked last week about his thought process behind skipping the Family Leader event,
Paul said he simply had other things on his calendar.

14 Minutes of Ron Paul is much more than I can stomach.

I like it especially since that was created by a libertarian, it was posted at other libertarian sites and most got a good laugh at it

I think it's an accurate depiction... especially the "What I Think I Do" pic.

seeking it and getting it are 2 different things....although both dems/reps need their $$$ war chests full for election and
jobs at places like the armories and weapons manufacturers....

hey, when working in some crappy fastfood joint making minimum (regardless if its $15 or not), who's included in all kinds of retirement
portfolios just isn't cutting it then give the people a real purpose and GO TO WAR.....

does America like to go to war? I'd have to say does America like to afford flat screen tv's, pay other people to manage their
$$, go shopping, eat all the fast food and crap food they want, have health insurance that oversees the outcomes of poor choices
even if it's cancer from working at a job making weapons for war with all kinds of chemicals....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

Lol...yeah, he would force congressmen/women to cast a vote to go to war against ISIS.  Congress doesn't want that.

You mean he wants a declaration of war passed by congress so the people could actually have a say on the matter through their representatives, you mean he actually wants to obey the law of the land, what an a$$hole

NO Paul didn't say a "declaration of war".  Paul just wants the authorization (funding) from congress...
Kind of like LBJ did with the Gulf Of Tonkin amendment
or
like G Worst Bush did  with the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution
Rand Paul Goes To War!
(And some on this board had high hopes that Randy Paul would somehow be 'different' than the Dems
or the Reps)
