Who Was To Blame For The Govt Shut Down???
The Republicans, Of Course!

House Speaker John Boehner Is The Gestapo
Quoted Text
House Speaker John Boehner went on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night
and blamed Republicans for shutting down the government last year.

Although Senate Republicans like Ted Cruz continue to insist that the government shutdown
was the fault of President Obama, Speaker Boehner frankly admitted that the gambit was
undertaken by members of his own party.

“I told my colleagues in July that I don’t think shutting down the government over Obamacare
was going to work, because the president ‘I’m not going to negotiate.’ So I told them in August,
‘Probably not a good idea.’ Told ‘em in early September.”

“But when I looked up,” he told Leno, “I saw my colleagues going this way. And you learn that
a leader without followers is simply a man taking a walk. So I said, ‘You want to fight this fight?
I’ll go fight the fight with you.’ But it was a very predictable disaster.”

“So the sooner we got it over with the better. We were fighting for the right thing, but I just
thought tactfully it wasn’t the right thing to do.”

“Some members,” he continued, “I have to be the big brother figure. Some, I have to be the
father figure. Others, I have to be the dean of students or the principal. Some of them, I have
to be the Gestapo.”

“There’s nothing I could do that was ever conservative enough for them.”

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Exactly, even better was their attempt to make it look worse then it was

The Republican party... (YOUR PARTY) is led by a political hack who can't control his own
congressmen!
The Republican party... (YOUR PARTY), admitted that it served no purpose to shut down
the government.
The Republican Party... (YOUR PARTY) and,
(YOUR REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE)...Randy Paul with the TeaBaggin' Right Wingers will answer to
the American people about shutting down the American Govt, at the cost of $millions to the
taxpayer, for no good purpose, other than 'cause they wanted to'!

What do you care if it cost millions?  Your president spent $500 million on a website that didn't work!  Don't worry box, blowing tax money doesn't matter, just raise the debt ceiling.

Too funny!

On Face the Nation Sunday morning Bob Schieffer laughs in the face of
Sen. Ted Cruz when he says he wasn’t responsible for the shutdown
of the government.

Quoted Text
Schieffer pressed Cruz to answer the question posed. Cruz, in true political double
talk, slithered his way into blaming the president and opposing party.

Bob Schieffer –
“You became a celebrity when you led the drive to shut down the government over Obamacare…
Can you conceive of any situation in which you would do that again? Try to shut down the
government in exchange or in demand for some action by the President?”

The truth as seen by Ted Cruz.
Ted Cruz - “… I opposed a government shutdown. I said we shouldn’t shut
the government down. I think it was a mistake that President Obama and the
Democrats shut the government down this fall. The reason they did so, is that
President Obama dug in and said he wouldn’t compromise, he wouldn’t negotiate.”

Because today we live in a society in which spurious realities are manufactured by the media, by governments, by big corporations, by religious groups, political groups... So I ask, in my writing, What is real? Because unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it. And it is an astonishing power: that of creating whole universes, universes of the mind. I ought to know. I do the same thing.”

No diversion...You posted about Cruz's Face the Nation interview.  Just want to show how Face the Nation is full context, unedited, and unbiased.  So any sound bites from the show are completely trustworthy.  No funny business.

Yup Schieffer laughed at Cruz about the shutdown, then edited Cruz's comments criticizing Obama's abuse of power in his prosecution of dissidents.

He talks about abuse of power....let's see....
filibuster used to stall talks and results in shutdown of Government
filibuster is reading of Dr. Seuss
Taxpayers paid for that
Filibuster had no substance or pertinent contribution to
any floor debate.....
Yah, Cruzless...abuse of power is your concern!!!!!
He's just one more phony politician that could never survive

Only native-born U.S. citizens (or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S.) may be president of the United States

Cruz's father was born in Cuba
His mother born in Delaware (she's Irish/Italian)
Ted was born in Alberta, Canada (and constantly reminds everyone he is Hispanic)

Maybe Donald Trump will challenge his qualification to run for President!!!!

Who was charged with a crime when Cruz used the filibuster(which it really wasn't)?  The filibuster which has been around since shortly after the inception of the federal government.

You are using abuse of power pretty loosely.  I understand why you wouldn't like the filibuster, if forces debate.  Something you don't like doing, and frankly, you are not good at it.

Where did I say a crime was committed?  Is that your version of abuse of power...unless it's a crime it's not abuse?
Filibuster forces debate...REALLY! That's an amusing concept.  How is debate encouraged by reading Dr. Seuss?
As for debating with you...no one would satisfy that concept, because you are the mater of deception. A logical and
reasonable conversation with you is not a possibility, as you have displayed over and over.  Your response is a perfect example.
You twisted what was written and then expect people to enter into discussion (or as you prefer, debate). If someone does
play your game, you just redirect it at the next step.........yah, that's a debate!!!
