That is, tax certorari after tax certorari they are announcing as they read the agenda.

Some of these are 2012 lawsuits!   So many tax lawsuits against the city it's taking til almost 2014 to settle them!

Just more PROOF that all the millions spent by the dems downtown is NOT helping the city as the TAX BASE is in FREE FALL!!!!!!

Couple that with handing out tax exemptions to their rich political cronies who own for profit businesses or own properties on which for-profit business is conducted, the homeowners suffer.

Truly amazing that anyone can post on these boards claiming the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job in the city.   Of course those persons that person will not provide any evidence to show that the city is improving.

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

If they would just put the taxes back down to the former "too high" level, instead of the "way too high" level, we wouldn't be incurring this expense now, would we?

Speaking of lawsuits, I was having a conversation on that topic with some people, mostly related to what happened at the Bowtie to that Niskayuna ma. One of the lawyers in the group (I'll talk too anybody, I guess) was of the opinion that the city may have been exposed to liability in that debacle. I won't say how, because I don't want to give anybody any ideas. Money the city pays out comes out of our pockets, after all. But the possibility is there, it depends on how shrewd a lawyer the man gets. Sheesh.

the city just keeps digging a deeper and deeper hole for itself.
