Stopping gun violence can not be done by laws, how many laws create the violence to begin with. The war on drugs killed how many people? NY now has one of the toughest laws on the books, that didn't stop the shootings in Schenectady did it. If you think guns are the problem turn yours in.

I would drop all victimless crimes, a gun kills people like a spoon makes people fat. There are already laws on the books which would punish those who harm others or has a victim.

I'm not terrified. I just know it was a PR stunt. I know how these visits are done. A bunch of handlers come into the event days prior, map out where Gabby and her husband are going to walk through, they tell the gun show organizers where the press and cameras are going to be, Gabby walks in, looks at some guns, walks out, and wallah, we see the pictures. It's contrived, it isn't real. It's a staged event.

A seatbelt law only hurts those who don't use it, the only victim is the idiot who decides not to use it in the 1st place. If someone wants to drive without one that should be up to them but they would also have to deal with the consequences of their own stupidity. If there was no laws on the books about seatbelts guess what, I would still use it because it is the responsible thing to do. Your libertarian stance is well known on this board. "I WANT THE FREEDOM TO GO THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD!!!" The FACTS remain, that until seatbelts were required by LAW to be installed in cars, most people didn't buy them or use them. Until laws clamping down on use of seatbelts were enforced, many still didn't use them.

Point is there is no victim, seatbelts save lives the laws do not. Would you not wear one if the laws were repealed? or would you be smart enough to know they could save your live and put it on anyways? It is the same deal with smoking, tobacco kills but we leave it up to the people to make the right decision, some do some don't, in the end what they do falls on them.

Another Cicero Fallacy! Seatbelt laws save lives. Without the laws, use would be half of what it is today. That 'half' who don't go through the windshield, are the lives saved.
