Did you see the story today in the paper how the building inspector estimated some amount of revenue the city would get from rental inspections, and it fell FAR SHORT!

The mayor and his dem team are doing a wonderful job

Yep, those so called "investments" are really paying off, huh?

What's the next fairy tale to be told?

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

They should hire an outside company to collect the money and let them keep half.

Good. It should fall short. The damn program was poorly thought out and poorly enforced, so then they tried to expand it, to gouge more money out of the few remaining decent rental property owners. I used to rent, for years. I would not have wanted someone from the city poking around in my home once a year, to justify getting a fee from the person I rented from, and that's what they were proposing to do, I'm not sure if it passed or not. If a program doesn't work, you scrap it, you don't keep it in order to pick pockets. This is why I supported Roger Hull for mayor. He understands responsible budgeting practices.
More people would keep their property up better if they weren't paying for a bunch of connected types so they could live better than us. I know that on my street, some of my neighbors wish they could do more with the appearance of their yards and houses, but they can barely afford the most necessary repairs and still pay their taxes.

not to mention if your house looks 'too good' others think you have sh!t they deserve....that's why the metro-punks can't live in
the city.....

drug dealers aren't the only ones driving around in cadillac escalade posses' or BMW posses'

there are different kinds of ganstas and clubs...but the same

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

That is exactly right, senders, because that has happened to some of the Guyanese people who thought they were getting bargain real estate in places like MP.

Have we not figured out the mathematical stylings of the City ...they are taken from Gillen's Metroplex playbook. Words like 'proposed' & 'estimated' are all over the place.

Before a tax, a fee, new parking meters, etc are put into place, people usually crunch the numbers! NO ONE in the City does the math!! They believe that they'll make millions by imposing more unwarranted taxes upon the few left PAYING in the City!!

Want to make some money McCheesy? Call Gillen and get a look at the PILOT payments. Find out the BILLIONS you're losing in property and school taxes over the past and future decades. Then visit Villia Italia, Bombers, Center City ...etc.

If you're doing business in the City, you need to pay where you play!!!!!
