SCHENECTADY — A passerby injured two high school students this afternoon by throwing a rock through a bus window, school officials said.

The bus was at the corner of Albany and Yale streets when someone unknown to the bus driver walked up and threw a rock. It shattered the glass of a bus window, showering sharp fragments on the students. They were both taken to Ellis Hospital by ambulance.

Their injuries are not yet clear, spokeswoman Karen Corona said.

Police are investigating and the school district has sent another bus to bring the rest of the students home. Parents have been notified that their children will be late.

another event that calls for action.....and more safety measures in place.....what's next?????????......hate to think abut it.

They will probably call for some kind of checkpoint and lockdown activity, maybe ban rocks, how about some more cameras, we could see video of some unknown male throwing a rock and running away.
