I could have a $250,000 house that is 25% exempt up to a $200,000 limit... and My tax rate could be only $5 per thousand
OR
My home could be worth $120,000 with a 15% exemption and a 75,000 limit with a tax rate of $90 per thousand.
AND
The exemption is valid on some city tax, some county tax and (I think) not valid on any school tax.
AND
Some municipalities exempt sewer/water tax from the exemption, others don't.

So lets make up $150K... As I explained earlier, the 25% exemption is deducted from the $150, but I think it has a cap. And the exemption is not on school taxes, IS on city town and county tax, but not on water/sewer, or library tax.

The guy working 9-5 pushing paper sitting at a desk ordering bullets also "served". He put on the costume, but didn't bleed - gets exemption. He's part of the chain. His job was about as dangerous as the machinist making the bullets. Difference is, bullet maker isn't wearing a costume.

That's not earned, it's an entitlement granted by politicians, usually persuaded by lobbyists or to pander for votes. Just admit it...You think you are special and entitled to special treatment. And you get angry when people don't think you are so special. How dare we think we are equal to the soldier? After all, some politicians say you deserve special treatment, or they wouldn't have let you put your veteran status on your license.
