I was looking through threads and I simply cannot find where you are bitching about disabled people getting as much as a 50% exemption, as well as Government funds for making their homes handicap accessible. I don't think that the disabled are "better than others" but I do believe they deserve to be given handicapped access and parking. They are not better or worse than I... they have different mobility than I do and therefore they are given closer parking.
When I collect my Social Security check, I will not be "Given" a benefit. I am no "better than others", I EARNED that benefit. If I had a service connected injury, I should be afforded veterans benefits to treat that injury. That isn't better or less than... it isn't equality or inequality... It's an earned access to health care by nature of that injury.
If Henry really wants to keep things (as he says) EQUAL, then Henry should do some time in the military in a combat zone, to EQUAL things out. If Henry wants things "EQUAL" then Henry should subject himself to an "EQUAL" danger serving his country to earn those medical benefits to treat his wounds.
I'm really beginning to hear a vein of Jealousy running in the combined Cissy/Henry posts. It appears they are jealous of the recognition given to our veterans. If it makes you that jealous... (not knowing if they could even qualify) they should join up and find out fist hand what they seem to unable to understand about the Military.

Did the Rich do anything to EARN the Bush Tax Cuts? Did Veterans do anything to EARN Veterans Benefits? Congress passed both legislation... Henry has no problem with Tax cuts for the wealthy at the expense of everyone else... but For benefits EARNED by military service, Henry has a problem.
Henry... If you don't like the laws governing Veterans, then change the laws. You know VOTE AGAINST VETERANS BENEFITS. See how much support you get from the American people.
