I watched Boyz n the hood today, haven't watched it in years. The last scene tells it all. "Either they don't know, don't show or don't care about what's
going on in the hood'

I thought the video was very funny as I watched it. I think they made it to be funny.

Afterward I felt bad because that is their actual every day life.

Someone on these boards said the mayor and his team are doing a wonderful job.  The city is in a renaissance!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

this is not funny...this is pathetic....this is the generation that is LOST....some of those kids are young....and most don't have anything to do..

what a shame....this is our City ???.....filth coming out of their mouths ...and not understanding a word being said....it's another culture that

should not be...

do they have anything to look forward to???....the government in this city should be ashamed of what its youth is about....

wake up.....help them...isn't there anyone that cares enough to give these kids a chance and direction??....

LOST AND it's plain pathetic to me.

The liberal democraps have done so much for the urban culture in amerika with their welfare

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Evidence of the War on Poverty's success.

Government schools, government housing, government meals...they are the product of government walfarism.

Tell it to our school superintendent/social worker. He is still fighting "poverty", as if that's the problem. Did anyone else notice, that the younger of those creepo Tsarnaev brothers, he came here and was supported by the government, evidently attended "bad" public schools, and despite the same "poverty" conditions that your State and Hulett crowd face, he became educated enough to graduate and go to college. I am not holding up this guy as an example to be emulated, I'm just using him as a visible illustration of something I have noticed that nobody talks about. We did win the "war" on poverty, as far as what we used to call poverty is concerned. If "poverty" is still the reason kids are devolving like this, why is it that some kids equally "impoverished", do just fine in the "bad" public schools? It's true.
I think the reason we keep picking fights abroad is to avoid all those veterans coming home to no jobs. Walmart is the only place that is speaking up about it. Easier to find some perceived need to keep our troops busy than to have them come home and see the real unemployment numbers.
