Senate Finalizing Deal on Debt Limit

Quoted Text
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell
"are finalizing a deal to avert a debt default and reopen the government, capping
a frantic day that had Washington bracing for an economic crisis of its own making,"
Politico reports.

"The deal is essentially done, sources say, as aides for the two leaders finish drafting
the legislative language Tuesday night."

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) said it was time to end what had emerged as a politically
disastrous episode for Republicans: "The only reason why the Democrats don't look
terrible is we look even worse."

I guess it wasn't all a total loss.  The GOP will pay the price in November and America
is finally realizing just what a death wish fuels TeaBaggers.

End result... we go from a strong GOP hold on the House, to a House that is in play
for the Democrats.

Thanks at least for that TeaBaggers.

When you have a bunch of amateur professors who have only dealt in book theory and have never run a business this is what can happen. Obamacare is just being implemented and the people who wanted it have just begun to feel the pain, they may feel differently the next time they go to the poles in 2014.

The next time the voters go to the polls to elect a president, Obamacare will have been in practice for 3 years
and those voters will remember what the TeaBagger GOP did to prevent them from getting affordable
health care.

Those "voters" voted Democrat anyway, so nothing will change.

Almost a year after from the Obama-Romney presidential election, 2013 has been a lost year for the
Republican Party.

Has it improved upon its image problem? Nope.
Has it fixed its shortcomings with women and minority voters? Nope.
Is it in a stronger place than it was in Oct. 2012? No way."

How so??? The number of uninsured hasn't gone up drastically, and don't even try to tell me that we will all of sudden see an huge uptick in voter turnout of that group..
The sky was blue before Obamacare and has remained blue after it.

As approval rating of Republicans go down, the democrat approval rating isn't going up.  It isn't a direct relationship.

I know a local businessman who was a 'moderate' Republican.  He had a pre existing condition and
couldn't afford health insurance.
The few insurance companies that would insure him wanted thousands a month in premiums and
the policy had a $10,000 deductible.

He managed (after several tries) to sign up for ObamaCare.  As of Jan 1 he will have health insurance
for the first time in decades.

He's now voting Democrat, both because of the success of ObamaCare and because of the Republican
opposition to it.

He, and many like him are not your "FREE STUFF" Americans.  They are good people without health
care options, until NOW.

You're dodging the question, what are the Dems going to do when the money to fund all the entitlement programs run out?

Even Boxy's hero Warren Buffett (hero when it's convenient, that is) said on CNBC this morning that Entitlement reform HAS to happen.

The Question?  What are the Republicans going to do when the money to fund all the Corporate Welfare that
keeps them in office runs out???

The President is willing and ready to discuss the debt... but not as a hostage of the TeaBaggers.  The Debt
could have been a priority of the GOP since the last election, but wasn't.  They concentrated on killing
ObamaCare, instead.
What have they gained???
What have the American people lost???

I really doubt it, but they could actually start on REAL debt talks now.  My guess, the TeaBaggers will
continue to obstruct the first American Black President for the rest of his term.

They HATE Obama more than they LOVE America.
