Schenectady

Workers at the General Electric Co. turbine plant in Schenectady have the oil- and gas-rich country of Algeria to thank for a $2.7 billion order for the company's power plant turbines and generators — one of the largest in company history.

The Schenectady plant — which employs 1,150 hourly workers — will produce 12 steam turbines for six new combined-cycle power plants being built for Sonelgaz Group, Algeria's state-owned utility.

GE will earn $1.9 billion for supplying the six Algerian plants.....

Just wait for the pom poms to be shaking, trying in an extreme desperate attempt to lavish all the credit for this deal exclusively on McCheese, Gillen, and Dagger, when the dem team had absolutely nothing to do with this whatsoever.

So GE is going to get $1.9 billion.  If the Schenectady dems and plex really cared about the city, the county, and the RESIDENTS, they would IMMEDIATELY stop the total 100% tax exemption they gave to them a year ago.  it is a CRIME that the financially struggling homeowners in the city and county should have their own money stolen from them via being forced to pay GE's property and school taxes.

Can you see it now.  The city council and/or county legislature lose some dem seats by opponents winning election.   Then GE agrees to Algeria wanting some work to be done in that country.   Then watch the dems and their cheerleaders to start spewing babble that "the republicans (or other non dems) caused a job loss at GE.

But the skilled workers for GE are going to live in the high rise apartments they are building downtown, and pay taxes, or something like that.

This was because of the Mayor and the wonderful democrap renaissancers who personally went to beg the muzzies in North Africa (For Box- that is where Algeria is) to give that contract to GE. Didn't you idiots know that?

Yes, the sheriff with the buffont hairdo looked in the Atlas and found Tiaret and then inquired whether he could buy one for his wife. He saw Oran and thought he could get some juice. In a Fascist style economy, the Party takes credit for a business success when there is good evonomic news, and blames the business for failure and calls them greedy when there is bad economic news.
