taxes a bit on the high side since there is very little in the line of a tax base.
Just check and see what you are actually getting in the way of services for your tax dollar.

regions west of the Schenectady sand pit (old lake bed) are high bed rock with clay on the surface -ie this holds lots of surface water
areas that haven't flooded in 100 yrs are flooding because the water can soak in fast enough as our single storm rain amounts have increased
also a shallow well may not be enough to get you thru a dry spell
also if mineral levels are high in the water you will have to soften it a lot and you may need chlorine treatment - to remove odor and get soap to work right
these comments are a caution only -
and remember the thru way from I-88 to crossgates (I-87) is FREEEEEEEEEEEE
