How many people are killed by men? Most of the cops are men. I think I am on to something here.
BTW, some people in the media thought it was in bad form for the president to be whining about politics in his speech more than he talked about the shooting. I think he didn't want to say too much because he whined about racism so much in the aftermath of the Trayvon Martin tragedy, and then this shooter was not white so he could not use it to race-bait. This is the whiniest president ever.

Many Americans think that the solution to mass shootings IS POLITICAL.  The lack of universal background
checks IS POLITICAL.  The lack of a federal gun registry IS POLITICAL.  The NRA funding Congressmen
and Senators IS POLITICAL.  All it takes to reduce the number of gun deaths is for politicians on both
sides of the aisle to work out solutions to this problem like they have done in other countries.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

This wasn't me, this was members of the MSM, they thought it was bad form to be going ahead with planned partisan attacks in a scheduled speech, in light of the events at the naval yard. He was whining about the debt ceiling and so forth, not gun control. I personally think he could've rescheduled his speech, out of respect for the dead, at least.

No cicero, it's YOU who has to go back to the drawing board, not I.

Look above... there have been 82 MASS SHOOTING DEATHS since Dec 2012... less than a year.
So:
82 Americans died in MASS SHOOTINGS  in the last 9 months
while
40 Americans die each year as a result of bee stings.

YOUR FACTS ARE (as is often the case) W R O N G !

No box, you are picking a statistical anomaly.  You are comparing one specific year(2013) of mass shooting deaths against a longer average of bee sting deaths.  For instance, there could be 50 bee sting deaths in 2012 and 30 in 2011, giving you an average of 40.  Unless you are suggesting exactly 40 people die each and every year of bee stings.  That in itself would be an amazing statistical anomaly.

Back to the drawing board box.

I wasn't aware the mass death was anymore tragic than single death.  My guess is the victims loved ones in either case mourn the loss.  Bee deaths have no political value.

You're the one that chided Box for not equating to mass murders, now you say it is no less tragic...which way is it...oh yah,....YOUR WAY IS THE ONLY WAY!

I was putting into context the statistical likelihood of dying.  I equated bee stings to mass shootings.  You can pretty much use any death statistic.  The point of the exercise was to bring context to the over reaction to statistically improbable situations.  Politicians aren't running around fear mongering the danger of bees.  Guns...like bees, serve a useful purpose as well as a potential danger.

But I understand that is too much for you to comprehend.  You get caught up in the politically driven narrative without putting it into any context.  Unfortunately you're not alone.  Your boyfriend box shares the same deficiency.

Oh I COMPREHEND very well....it's you that uses absurdities to form Cissanalogies because you must
distort everything to follow your narrow thought capability. Staying on point doesn't work in Cissygirl world.
Anything on either side of that narrow band and your head starts to hurt.

Advocating gun control for citizens because a mentally ill and former military person with PTSD that was able to breach the armed security on a military installation IS the absurdity.  And for box to cite ALL firearm death statistic in the wake of a mass shooting at an military installation secured with armed guards is even MORE absurd.

Isn't that Box's right to advocate as he believes, just as it is yours to post your beliefs and to disagree,
as it is his right to disagree with you! You also know, and I'm positive of it, that your Cissanalogy
was whacked and just another Cissyism.  It's YOU!!!
We don't all think or believe alike, you do realize that don't you?
In fairness, I went back and read thru each post again and I believe each successive
post is in some way a response to a previous post....even your murdering bees post.

Here's what's absurd....this guy should have been helped a long time ago and his security clearance should
have been pulled and someone should have been working with and monitoring the poor sick guy.....
BUT THEY DIDN'T AND NOW WE DISCUSS THE
TRAGEDY RESULTING FROM THE TRAGEDY!

which has NO logical effect on gun control

AGREED!!!

But instead some take the tragedy and make it a platform for gun control.

More people die from bee stings than mass shootings.

Cissy brings up the bee sting deaths... then runs from his own post when hes proved to be wrong.
Figures.
