SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Police in Schenectady say they responded to a call of a bleeding man that was stumbling into a welding shop, where he died.

There is currently a heavy police presence at Swett & Swett Welding, located on Strong Street in Schenectady.  Police say the man was bleeding heavily and collapsed in the shop, where he died.

There is no official word on a cause of death.

SCHENECTADY -- A woman's body was found on the floor of a Schenectady business Tuesday afternoon.
According to Schenectady Police, workers at Swett & Swett Welding and Iron went to lunch around noon and, when they returned, found the body. Investigators say the woman had not been inside the shop before the workers left for lunch.
Who the woman is, how she died and why her body was at the business is unknown at this time.
Schenectady Police aren't saying if she had a connection to anyone working at that building.
The investigation is ongoing. CBS6 will update this story as more information becomes available.

I'm hearing a helicopter now, it can't be for the woman. Last night I heard a large number of sirens again, I don't know the cause yet. How can their be so many emegencies with no cause?

I heard it to, sounded pretty low

So was it a man or a woman? And was he walking around, of found dead. Two different stories.

Well, something happened, we know from the picture with the police cars. Maybe the person was not dead and the helicopter was for him/her.
In the old days, the complete, accurate story would be in the evening paper.

Also heard the low flying helicopter.

According to the news just now, definitely a dead female, and a lot of blood, and possibly the owner was in the building but didn't hear anything. That is a very noisy area so that is possible.

SCHENECTADY – A woman’s body was found at the Swett & Swett Welding & Ornamental Iron building on Brandywine Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

The body was found around 1:30, by workers who came back from lunch.

No word on who the woman is right now, but police do not suspect foul play.
Several employees from the body shop were taken downtown to be interviewed by police.

A young woman whose boyfriend and father work there says, “My dad talked to the police officer.
The police officer said everyone is okay.

Somebody plugged in one of the grinders over at the shop. I guess they said she slit her neck,” said the woman.

Police have not confirmed her story.

“Obviously it’s very early in the investigation, trying to ascertain her identity, what ties she may or may not
have had to the business, and how she ultimately ended up in the shop,” said Lt. Mark McCracken of the
Schencetady Police Department.

Again, police say they do not suspect foul play.

That's a pretty creative way to commit suicide, feel bad for the welders that had to come back from lunch to see that. Sad day all around
